Whats better than half price drinks? I work down the road from Verve and my colleagues and I often go to the venue after work. We finish at 5pm and that's when happy hour starts. While we dont always stay there for the full happy hour, we do get our money's worth. I would highly recomment Verve's happy hour if you want reasonable prices!!

Location location location. That’s what Verve has going for it being right across from Leicester Square Station.
Of course, that’s what it’s got working against it too. The crowds. The out-of-towners. The Leicester Square-ishness of it all. Aaaah!
I will say …
decent beer on tap and the super central location is handily convenient for meeting up with folks less familiar with the logistics of scooting around London.

Timinator sums it up with “meh”.
This isn’t the worst place you can drink, but there’s nothing brilliant about it either. It’s just very… well, meh.
I came here for the London Bloggers Meet-up which is always fun, and by the time I’d got there they’d sorted the air con out, but I heard rumours of bloggers wilting like weeds before I arrived. There was nothing great about the bar, but actually a couple of things that did piss me off.
The toilets, were really really pretty. Lovely basins, great little seats for chatting, but they were a mess. Toilet paper everywhere, an overflowing bin of rubbish. How hard is it just to check on them halfway through the night? It was horrible.
I also asked the barmaid for three large glasses of wine. She came back saying “I’ve only got two large glasses”. And I honestly expected her to use initiative, go and find a glass, pick one up of the bar perhaps, wash it maybe. But instead, we had three small glasses and left earlier than we would have. Not exactly great service.
I wouldn’t avoid the place, but I’m not going to rush to come back. I imagine I might pop in if I was going to The Arts Theatre, which is just next door.

Typical modern bar that you can find around the Lester square, not much atmosphere and customers that don’t mix. On the plus side Good selection of Drinks and the hire area is very nice place to party with your mates.
The music is mostly commercial dance played by a competent DJ. The venue is split over several levels and is very well outfitted.
On reflection a bit of a missed opportunity.

Meh. Very average bar. Modern, dark, lots of leather, a couple of mezzanine levels. Staff, decor, prices and service are average for a central Covent Garden location. In fact, that location ensures it’s probably always very, very busy.
It’s very loud (music in the larger room, harsh echoes in the smaller ones), so avoid if that bothers you. I wouldn’t go out of my way to give it - or withold - my custom.

A sleek, stylish bar in the heart of the West End
With a chandelier strewn main bar and a funky basement club, Verve is perfect from lunch time until late night. A relaxing and friendly bar, with a great attitude toward service, Verve's kitchen has a fantastic all day menu that includes classic fish and chips, snacks and nibbles and delicious, yet saintly salads. Happy hour every day from 5pm - 8pm with up to 50% off food and drinks!

This is not a bd place to have some drinks with the work crew. If you get there early you don’t have to pay to get in and they open a club downstairs which is good for a dance later on. The people who go there are generally out after work and are quite friendly. You do get some lechy men on the dancefloor downstairs though!

Verve is my regular place for work do’s when I am working in Leicester Sq. - it’s a nice place to relax on a Friday, but only if you book a table downstairs. Downstairs, there is a second bar, dim and sexy up lighting, and comfy seats. Upstairs, it’s busy, crowded and noisy - so I wouldn’t recommend going along without booking first.
The cocktails are great, if over-priced, so try to make it there for happy hour (which I believe is 5-7pm) unless you want to leave with an empty purse.
I haven’t tried the food, but it certainly looks nice! And the toilets are clean and spacious which is always a plus.

Verve is not only a good restaurant, but a really nice bar aswell. Although the cocktails are a little bit expensive i really like it there. They play good music (mix of pop, r´n´b, rock, 80´s etc) for dancing with your friends and the facilities bathrooms there are exellent!
There are also happy hours (from 5 to 7).

Very nice and modern bar.
Here you can eat, drink and dance as well (For some specific nights)
This restaurant accounts two floos, the main floor with tables, sofas and one mezzanine with other tables.
I went there to eat a fish burger with chips... really tastefull for just 5 pounds! Good deal!
Waitress are obliging and smiling.
Even the toilets are modern and really clean.
If you are hungry near Leicester Square you have to go there!
You can also try their happy hours...up to 50%!
