All dishes seems to be prepared with the freshest ingredients and it pamper our taste buds and provide a healthy and tasty alternative, without leaving you with a hole in your pocket.

my family and i went to the East and West for last Saturday, we were warmly welcomed and seated on a nice round table , the waiters were very friendly and helpful i had two Masala Dosa I never had anything similar before, it was excellent taste, my mother had Chicken kotthu, a which she was recommended by venkat the waiter , my mother really enjoyed her meal and so did the rest of my family , we had a fantastic time at the East and West, and a great evening as a whole , thankyou everyone at the East and West who made it possible. It was worth every penny spend.

Cheap and basic - not that that's a bad thing! Very tasty food, lots of choice and things you probably won't have tried before from Sri Lanka and Southern India. The staff are always happy to explain what dishes are exactly, and give helpful recommendations. Fast service, everything us always freshly prepared too.

East and West is an original South Indian and Sri Lankan restaurant and take away based on Abbeydale Road. It does everything from samosas to dosa, and the chefs obviously know what they are doing, as everything ordered tastes fantastic and is made with amazing ingredients. If you’re not sure what to order, the chef is extremely helpful and will definitely find something to your taste.
