Went here last night for a 'romantic’ meal for 2.

Nice clean restaurant although it does feel the tables are set out a bit randomly (squeeze 'em in type thing). Seated on a table for 2 next to the main thoroughfare to the kitchen so quite busy with waiters and waitresses passing by. That said it wasn’t too intrusive. However the restaurant itself was quite noisy due to other patrons…...having to shout at each other has a habit of killing the romantic element of the evening! But that said it’s the price you pay for going to such a popular restaurant! Kitchen is 'open’ so you can see what the chefs are up to.

Waiting staff - main waiter I believe is the owner, an Italian who has retained his accent and adds to the authenticity of the place. Other than that a mixture of family and young girls. Tad annoying that you get passed the bill when you asked for the desert menu as the staff can’t hear you over the din of other diners. However the were very efficient & polite.

Food - the menu is quite extensive and varied with about 12 starters to chose from and a few dozen main courses plus the specials dotted around the restaurant. I had homemade salmon fishcake to start and my partner had the 'special’ onion soup. Both very tasty and plentiful. For main course he had Moussaka and I opted for chicken stuffed with mozarella and wrapped in parma ham. Both were delicious and not a morsel was wasted. Very filling though so we didn’t make it through to desert although those that passed us looked very tempting! We were surprised that their coffee selection wasn’t a bit more varied with just the usual Cappucino and Expresso’s available.

Came to £42 in the end including a couple of glasses of wine and worth every penny in my opinion. Definitely recommended.
