Malta's oldest gay bar is one of the friendliest venues we found in Malta. There's an outside patio drinking area, a small bar on the ground floor and a relaxed drinking area upstairs. Prices are reasonable and service good. As elsewhere in Malta, almost everyone speaks English and Italian as well as Maltese.

As you might expect, Malta's gay scene is pretty small, so most of the locals seem to know each other, but there are also plenty of visitors, too. Amazingly (or perhaps not), we bumped into friends from all over the UK there...

It's a little obscurely located on the road from Floriana leading down to the port area of Grand Harbour to the east of Valletta, although it's actually only five minutes' walk from the main gate of Valletta: turn left after the bus station and after a few minutes head down through a small park via the steps, and the bar is directly in front of you.
