This is the best chinese restaurant in the city. It is my favourite place to eat out and the food is always freshly cooked and spot on. The staff and chef are always very polite and great at there job.. Love this restaurant, just a shame you get idiots leaving stupid comment like below. This is simply not the case and would highly recommend.

Was introduced to thsi restaurant by friends of ours and been there twice now and set to book again for the weekend hopefully. Fantastic place, absolutely first class food and brilliant service. We were the last ones there on both occasions and the staff were extremely patient with us and we didn’t feel at all hurried, in fact we were there about 4 hours. I cannot stress how good the food is, piping hot and so much better than these awful buffet style restuarants that are popping up everywhere.

We went here at the w/e and what a fab wee place it is. We were a group of 14 and everyone of us loved it. The food is fab & fresh & very reasonable.
The cost was £15.xx per head(cheaper on weekdays), and for starters we picked 6/7 dishes, and if we wanted we could then order more. We chose to go on to mains where we done the same picked 6 dishes, plus rice/ noodles but there was so much on offer we really didnt need to pick more.
The restaurant itself in nothing flash, but the food more than makes up for it!! And so much better than the help yourself buffets that have sprung up all over town

FORTUNE COURT IS GREAT AND IN RESPONSE TO THE LAST REVIEW ITS TOTAL CRAP IF IM PERFECTLY HONEST!
These girls were blatently rude to the staff as soon as they arrived and quite immature !! My partner and myself were in restuarant at the time and witnessed they whole thing. Although my partner and myself didnt speak to these girls a lot of the others customers actually left there tables, walked over to the girls who were being quite aggressiveand totally disagreed with them there and then. They were blatently trying to get a cheap night and they didnt get away with it, they have cleary wrote this review out of spite, which is obvious because she's took the time to write it on every site she could!
Personally i think the restaurant is brilliant, the service is extremely friendly and the food is always hot, always served promptly and tastes beautiful. I have given the restaurant a 4 star rating, as i believe it is the actual official rating. It is perfect for couples during the week and great for big parties on the weekends. They allow you to bring your own wine, the food is beautiful and the desserts are fantastically presented and taste amazing.

WARNING - DO NOT GO TO FORTUNE COURT - AWFUL PLACE
The worst service ever. Staff were rude and downright ignorant. DO NOT go to this restaurant - worse place I have ever been.
Six of us went there to celebrate a friends 21st birthday and because of the way we were treated, it totally spoiled her day. Staff took forever to attend to take our order, food took a very long to arrive, when it did, it was awful, plates were not cleared...even after a 30 minute wait, staff were just standing around chatting ....need I say any more.
PLEASE PLEASE- do not waste your time or money going to this place, there are plenty of other lovely Chinese restaurants in Plymouth however, this is most definately the worse!

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MEAL WE HAD ON 11 DEC 2010. The above review is an absolute disgrace and totally untrue I am a regular customer in this restaurant and I know exactly the night in question as myself and several friends were in that night also to celebrate a Birthday . We were treated like royalty and thoroughly spolied. A party of 6 very drunk and disorderley girls were making a song and dance and generally trying to bring atention to themselves by disrupting other customers they were constantly clicking their fingers at the waitresses and being very rude ,loud and impolite. Everyone else in my group and the rest of the customers in the restuarant was horrified at their drunken antics perhaps next time they could go to playzone for their party as that is more suitable for spolit kids who think its their right to be served before anyone else. Need I say more????? we have all seen drunken girls out on the town not a pretty sight in anyones book.Good food takes times to prepare everything in this restauarant is freshly cooked to order and is beautiful. When these girls have grown up and bit and learned some manners perhaps they will realise this and behave themselves accordingly.

I was eating at this restaurant on the night concerned. What a load of bollocks that comment/review is from those piss-heads. That's me being as diplomatic as I can without using more offensive words! The six immature females arrived at the restaurant totally plastered which clearly is not the polite thing to do to start with. The only reason the birthday celebratioin was spolit was due to the whole despicable way these children were behaving. The staff were being summoned by a few of the kindergarten kids by clicking their fingers! The staff at this restaurant are very kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble for them where their customers are concerned. I ate there that night with 5 other friends. We have used this restaurant for several years and not once have I seen or heard such contemptible behaviour from a group of disrespectful human beings (that's being a little rude to use the phrase human beings really isn't it?)
As for the food.................everything is cooked to order and is always hot. Fresh ingredients always used and the service is really quick, this evening was extremely busy but that did not reflect away from the service given by all the staff there. All the patrons there that night were mainly celebrating either birthdays or having a Christmas night out. The majority of people who frequent this wonderful restaurant always bring a bottle but there has never ever been such embarassing comments being made towards the staff and the service received. This just goes to show that some people should never drink, especially those 6 appalling, pathetic puerile excuses for girls that had the nerve to even comment on this website. Shame on you all, I witnessed it all and was there at the very end when they all embarassed themselves by claiming they weren't going to pay for the meal!!! Pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!

Cater well for groups, been here a few times and never had a problem.
Well worth a visit.
