My mom used Friendly Plumber to install our shower's bodysprays. I actually found their website and saw the stuff and coolness me, I'm in heaven! This stuff makes me feel like I'm back at the Grand Wailea again! Imagine full blown waterage, coming at your from all sides, and one large one from the top too. Pure heaven!
Anyway, my mom did her research too. She actually got estimates from about 6 plumbers, and this company gave the most professional customer service, which is really important to us. We're 2 single females in the house and we don't want complications, plus their price was reasonable. NOT CHEAP mind you, but reasonable considering the guy threw in some extras for my mom.
Thanks!
We had a leak behind the wall and Friendly Plumber was the third one to arrive to assess the situation. The other two plumbers wanted to rip into the wall and barely wanted to do any investigation.
The first plumber who visited me wanted to charge me an arm and a leg even though they were late for the appointment by 2 hours! The second one was cheap, yes, but I could hardly understand what the plumber was saying, plus the incredibly high price he wrote on the estimate, five figures! I wasn't about to sign to that, and I was completely turned off by that too.
Friendly Plumber was the third plumbing company who showed up. The guy was clean shaven, in uniform (which the others weren't) and just looked professional. Most importantly, it really showed that he took the time to think through where the problem could be and isolated the area where the leak was coming from. Within two hours the leak was identified. He went out to pick-up the part he said was needed to fix it and the job was done the same day.
I am satisfied with the price I was charged and at least this guy got the job done when other plumbers I thought were plain unreasonable. Most importantly, no more leaks, which is great for my water bill and the environment!
I first heard about this company from another search engine. Then, I promptly forgot about them until a couple of months ago, when I needed a plumber.
I called at 4:58pm, on a Friday, STRESSING about getting a machine. to my surprise, I got a human being! Not an outside hired operator type, but an actual, professional employee, who promptly told me how to shut-off my water heater temporarily, until they can fix it the next day.
Let me see, I didn't have to blow my Friday dealing with a plumbing problem and the guy I spoke with, Robert, even came the next day and I wasn't charged a special "overtime" rate or anything!
Kudos to Friendly Plumber.
A couple of weeks ago, my water heater stopped working in the middle of the night, so first thing in the morning, I was on the phone calling plumbing companies from this website. Apparently, companies who advertise 24 hours don't really mean what they advertise though, because it wasn't until well after 9am that I was able to get a phone call back, and that was by Robert who heard my urgent message on their answering machine. Luckily, he was able to be squeeze me in while traveling from one job to another, so I was able to have him go to my house that very day.
When Robert first came in my house, he was uniformed, complete with those shoe mitts that surgeons wear - impressive! What was even more important was when he proceeded to give me options on what he could do for me considering the state of my water heater.
He mentioned that they do guarantee all their work, including a warranty on all products they use. And he showed me a few things to watch out for in the future and gave me simple maintenance tips for things that I can do myself.
I am not very experienced with working with plumbers, so I can't speak too much in terms of this type of service may be standard or not, but I know the price I paid was certainly more than fair, and that the service I received from Robert was absolute top notch.
I really appreciate companies that do business this way and I will continue to Friendly Plumber for all of my water heater and plumbing needs in the future. Friendly Plumber gets a solid A+ from me!
Friendly Plumber first worked for me in 2001, when they replaced our water heater. They have served us well, coming to fix problems almost immediately ever since.
Last year, I bought a house in the Sunset to rent-out and I have once again hired Friendly Plumber to replace the pipes for this house.
I am comfortable in the knowledge that I'm getting the best plumber I can afford in the city, and that my project will be handled in a prompt, expedient and professional manner.
Thanks especially to Rob.
My husband and I came back from a great holiday to a water heater that overflowed my basement. Thank goodness this happened while we were already in town or we surely would have been in trouble.
Robert, the plumber who worked on our heater was as friendly and professional as can be and offered lots of advice on securing our house next time so that this will never happen to us again.
While chatting, I learned that he too just got back from vacation, from the very same place no less. Small world!
I had this plumber fix my leaky faucet and they came-out the same day, had all the parts for the faucet already and was able to fix it even though the plumber before him told me my faucet was a gonner. Heck, it saved me from having to replace the tile work in my bathroom.
I think it was very kind of him to take the time to accommodate me, even though I bet he could have told me the same as the plumber before him.
Very honest. I highly recommend Friendly Plumber.
Prompt, honest, and fast. Friendly was flexible enough to come at a later time when my partner and I were running late getting home for the appointment.
The plumber did a fine job replacing our old kitchen sink. It was a tough and dirty job, and I really commend his professionalism for toughing-out the long day without any grumbling.
The price I paid was fair in my estimation, and it was nice that it came at $80 less than what I was originally quoted. I would definitely recommend the company to a friend.
I called about a stopped up drain and I was also told that I might want to contact one of those drain cleaning companies -- the ones with Rooter with its name because they have coupons in the Yellow Pages for $35 for my type of problem.
The woman who answered the phone was honest enough to say that those companies have better equipment than them when it comes to stopped up drains, that they have industrial, heavy duty machines that would flush out the stopped up stuff with water, without harming my home's pipes. Also, that if they send their plumber, I would more than likely pay more just because they have plumbers working with them, not drain cleaners.
It is refreshing to hear such professional cutomer service, and honesty from a plumbing company. No wonder they're really reputable.
What a difference between a competent person who knows what he's doing vs. unscrupulous plumbers who are not in the least professional.
The Friendly Plumber seemed a bit pricier; but he knew exactly what needed to be done and stands behind his work. he even took care of the warranty part for my unit in addition to fixing things that was left open by the previous contractor. so if you are the type of person that likes peace of mind that the job will be done in a professional manner, call this company. I will...
My kitchen faucet sprung a leak the other day. Literally "sprung a leak", right at my eye.
I called Friendly Plumber and Robert was on time, at my door, the same day. Which was a real plus for me because since they're located in San Francisco, and I didn't have to pay extra for a driving fee.
He was detail oriented in showing me the part that caused the leak, and replaced it without a hitch in under an hour - now that's professional!
I really resent paying for house expenses since I'd rather party with my extra money, to be perfectly honest. I feel I was charged a good price and was treated nicely, so I'm cool with this company.
Our toilet backed last Friday and so I immediately searched for a plumber. Found Friendly Plumber’s good reputation and when I spoke to the receptionist, I was referred to another drain cleaning company, who I was unable to reach, so I called Friendly again.
I was told that alternatively, I or someone handy I know can also rent a snake from Home Depot, and it’ll solve the problem too.
$44 got it done. Thanks for being professional and not hanging up on me, and for all your help!
