Funky Munky

This is a brilliant pub, typical of Camberwell for its large mix of clientele. Very popular with students, this attracts both those at the art college and the workers from Kings College Hospital after 5pm as well. Cocktails are 241 between 5pm and 7pm, which draws a large crowd, and student discount will get you a pint or spirit and mixer for £2.50.

The landlord, Shaun, is very sweet and will always look out for people. There is rarely any trouble in this pub as it has a nice community feeling. The club nights on Fri and Sat are incredibly popular, and the Munky does start charging for entry after 11pm on these nights, (usually £3).

All the bar staff are wonderful, though not all are trained in cocktail making, so sometimes you have to wait a while. Staff are usually happy to serve you at your table in these cases.

Food is excellent and cheap with nachos, pizzas and burgers always on offer. However, the times for serving can be slightly erratic and sometimes the chef just isn't there, so call ahead if you specifically want to eat there.
