Bar Rise/Jongleurs

I only had a few drinks here but the entertainment was good for an alternative night out.

What can i say, booked all our staff on a night out.
Terrible Terrible service and staff.
Pre ordered food only to be told four of our guests needed to change as they ran out of ham salad, ok no problem they picked something else, six of our guests finally got fed 40 mins after everone else had finished, The pots were left on our table, we asked for them to be removed the waitress said she would be back I said would it help if we stacked them to the end of the table to help her she said yes and she did not come back for 15 mins. The drinks order was all wrong the term fast food and drink certainly does not happen here waited 30 mins at the bar to be served.
What a DISASTER OF A EVENING.
We then complained to the waitress who was not interested and turned her back on us and would not get the manager we spent £500.00 pounds here, 45 mins later a member of our party went to the toilet and was asked to leave and was not allowed back to our table the manager then came to our table to say hope it would not ruin our evening we all stood up and walked out.

Comedy club located near the canal - great location. Situated above Bar Risa so its easy to meet there before you go up for the comedy. Although Jongleurs sells food its better to eat before you go as portions are on the small side and there is generally a long wait for it. Normally has 3 comedians and a compare - have been several times and comedy is generally very good, although there can be occasional lame ducks. Also comedians seem to rotate around different jongleurs, so I have seen one woman three times - and she wasn't that great the first time round. Does attract a lot of groups and staff are poorly trained in crowd control - visited once and could hear the people at the table beside me and not the comedian. All members of floor staff, including the manager asked them to quieten down but they didn't. Despite having several bouncers in attendance, the table managed to ruin the night for a lot of people. I did email customer service and got a free visit, but the same thing happened again.

I’ve been here more than 30 times in my life and only really had one bad experience (a drunken group of blokes that wouldn’t shut up talking through the acts!) Its great, really funny live comedy, decent priced booze and then a dance yer pants off disco till 2am, if you get a deal on the tickets, you cant really go wrong with this place. Highly recommended

We went to Jongleurs in Nottingham for a friends hen night. Whilst the comedians were funny. The staff were terrible. They had our food and drink orders wrong and then it took over an hour to correct the drinks. The food was edible but not worth the money we had paid. A disabled friend had to be taken in a lift to the toilet by doorstaff as she was not allowed to travel in a lift alone and the toilet was on a different floor. But on one occasion it took the door staff 35 minutes after being asked to come and get her. Overall not a good night and our complaints fell upon deaf ears and we never heard anything back from then again. I would not visit again, ever.

Jongleurs Comedy Club is situated down by the canal in Nottingham, surrounded by other bars and restaurants. It’s a great place for a party night out! They have a about 4 or 5 comedians on during the evening. Unlucky if your table is near to the front though as you’re more likely to get “picked on”! Basket food is available and waitresses come round and take your orders when at the tables. It’s not that great though and you don’t get alot for you money, so eat a little before you go! Pinchers of cocktails or beer are good value though and great to share between a large table. The disco afterwards is good. They clear all the tables out of the way and you can boogie till late! A great night out!

Food, drink, music and dancing, comedy and a happy atmosphere - what more can you want from a night out in Nottingham? The comedy won’t be to everyone’s taste, just like the food, but of the comedians that trundle onto the stage, you are sure to find yourself chortling at some stage if nothing else. Guffaw and the world might guffaw with you! And if you’re brave enough to sit on the tables at the front, you might find everyone laughing at your expense when a comedican inevitably chooses you to “support his material”.
Jongleurs is a national chain and every single one I’ve been to, I’ve had a tremendous laugh followed by a tragic attempt at an inebriated dance.

For a night out in Nottingham, you need to go some to beat Jongleurs in my opinion - just don’t sit on one of the front few tables, unless you want everyone in the place to be laughing at your expense!
I guess the comedy wouldn’t suit every body’s taste - however, it’s right up my alley. It can get pretty blue, but as long as you aren’t offended easily, you’ll have a great time - Usually a compere and three comedy acts on a weekend.
You can also order food, which is pretty basic - burger in a basket, chilli and chips - that kind of thing. Still, it helps to soak up the beer. They sell beer in 4 pint pitchers which works well with the comedy - you don’t want to get up mid-act or they’ll crucify you (not literally).

Great for a night out/hen party/stag do.

Great night out, especially if it’s an occasion like a birthday, caters for groups large or small you can all sit together. Food is available, they do deals on drinks good price pitchers of lager or cocktails and quite a good choice. The comedians are funny about 4/5 a night, they have around a 15/20 min set so it’s not too long and there are breaks in between for fresh air or cigarette breaks for smokers. Good value for money. The disco after isn’t too bad either.

A great night out for something different to going out on the town and price is reasonable too. We had a limo to take us there for a special birthday so it was a real fun night.

Be warned, we were made fun of so be prepared to have a laugh and don't take it too seriously.

Word of warning - you will be warned if you are too loud.

Jongleurs is a comedy club in Notts by the waterfront. For a reasonable price you get a night of stand up comedians and a disco afterwards so no need to go anywhere else. Great if there is a big group of you as they really look after you for birthdays etc. You get your own waiter who serves you food and drinks all night. The quality of comedians has always been really high when ive been but it is always down topersonal taste.
The menu is simple but nice and they offer great cocktails. Its only a fifteen minute walk into the centre of Notts if you fancy carrying on in town afterwards but the disco does go on till after midnight.
They have three comedians on during the night with intervals in between and a compare who is uaually quite funny too!
Word of warning, dont sit near the front unless you can take a joke as you will be teased!
