Awesome atmosphere! I found the staff gave great customer service and the shop was an explosion of colour and felt like i was entering a Dr Seuss book with all the electric colours and odd yet functional items to purchase! The only negative comment i could say would be how pricey most of the items, but if you do look you will find a bargain. Ideal for friends with that 'unique' style and fun taste!
I absolutely love Octopus. Everything is beautifully made, if a little expensive, but perfect for that hard to buy for friend or family member! It can be pricey, but worth every penny for something so unique. Staff are always welcoming and friendly.
Wow, well I just ADORE this shop! Full of quirky one-off pieces, albeit slightly expensive pieces, this is the perfect shop for someones birthday present!
I honestly can’t think of anyone that wouldn’t be delighted by a lovely gift from this store.
I particularly like their watering can handbags (I own the small yellow one myself) which are guaranteed to provide a talking point wherever you use them!
They also have loads of funky household appliences, and also some amazing watches!
Okay, so as I’ve mentioned..it’s not cheap, but everything in there is definitely worth what you pay for it!
Give it a look, I promise you…you won’t regret it!
In one of the arcades in Leeds, Octopus is a tiny store that offers something a bit different from normal shops. A fantastic place to go for Christmas and birthday gifts. You are bound to find something quirky that someone will love. They sell everything from hair brushes to toaster and radios, all painted with their trademark bright and colorful designs. The one problem with it it the price. It’s a bit expensive but I suppose that’s what you have to pay fro something a bit more original. The best thing i’ve seen there is a hip flask which looked really cool. Definitely worth a visit.
This was certainly one of the better shops we stumbled across. It was bizarre some of the things it sold and they were so unusual and different. We came away with a few gifts which we couldnt wait to give to the recipients. The jewellery looked handmade and not mass produced and my daughter loved choosing herself some one-offs that none of her mates will have. We also got some wacky glasses cases which were very different. The store was small but they had loads crammed in. The store was nice and clean and tidy and not cluttered but it was a bit on the hot side. The prices were steep but for something not mass produced that is ok. Well worth buying. The staff were lovely and polite and were busy singing along to an old wham song while we browsed.
I like this place it is fun and quirky selling some rather individual items like patterned toasters and dolly cheese graters. The items are very funky although they aren’t cheap they are well worth the money.
It is definitely a place for quirky gifts…my wife loved the watch made of cork I gave her as a surprise…you even get household items such as toasters, cutlery, etc..all in all worth a visit for unusual gifts..
My son and I love this shop, It’s a great place to buy the unusual gifts that everyone loves to receive.
We have purchased alsorts from bracelets in the shape of animals that wrap around your wrist to washing up brushes that are rainbow brights and stick to the wall!!!
If you want something different, then have a browse there is something for everyone
A really lovely little shop, that if you’re not careful you’ll spend a fortune in. If you’re ever stuck for a gift for someone, I guarantee you’ll find something here.
The stuff on offer ranges from jewellery to toasters to tote bags to lighter covers to coasters to tables to I can’t even remember, but everything is very brightly coloured! I think I may have thought I’d been tripping the last time I came here…
Fantastic range of accessories, prices are good too. The staff are really funky and trendy and I really do enjoy popping in here for a browse or to pick up something special, say for a birthday present, or something out of the ordinary to wear to a party or works event. It’s in a good location with nearby parking and I really enjoy visiting here - I highly rate & recommend it as a fun place to visit.
Octopus is an awesome shop.
It’s tucked away at the bottom of the Queen’s Arcade, but is definitely worth a visit. They sell a variety of kitsch, and unique items.
They are quite expensive, but the items are all well made, usually ethically made, and are often one of a kind. I buy most of my birthday and christmas presents here, as everything is just so cute!
I love this shop, I always have to pop in when I go past just to look at all the colourful funky things they sell. Its a great place if you’re stuck for a present for someone or if you’re wanting something a little different to brighten up your home. The stuff they sell is really unique and different ranging from googly eyed chopsticks or pirate pan scrubbers along with funky watches and jewellery. I could easily spend a fortune in here.
