Popped in with a colleague during lunchtime in May 08. Two bottles were 6.60. The bar staff are friendly but the lighting is more suited to a strip club in the day, certainly the place was empty at that time. The co-owner, Mrs Flanagan has drawn an array of caricatures of celebs that have visited, a few of which include Lionel Richie, Alan Shearer, The Sugar Babes, Kym Marsh and “Surprise Surprise”....Cilla. All in all, I will go back with mates and visit in the evening at least once hoping that fun outweighs posing and cash-flashing in the evenings. Day stars: 3* for prices 1* for a lunch venue (bad lighting), 3* for the gallery of caricatures.

Only been here on the odd occasion as the prices dont exaclty suit a poor student. None the less though a really good bar which attracts the more wealthy; footballers and celebs mingle nicley combined with some ambitious student types trying to get a lookin.

Get glammed up to visit the newz bar , It has fabulous music and glamorous people. you will find many celebrities hanging around here . The drinks are reasonably priced and try thier Rosa wine . The decor is very warming with booths available to hire for the evening at a price.Open evenings.
