been here did not find it all that interesting and to be honest you could not spend a full day there without being bored even if you wanted to

The Blue Planet Aquarium is one the few places where my kids actually remain in opened mouthed awe for most of the day! One thing I found strange. After looking around all of the beautiful species on offer and hearing about the plight of the sea. The cafe sells deep fried processed fish to kids. Apart from that it is a great day-out

Whilst staying in Liverpool we decided to travel the 17/18 miles to visit the Blue Planet Aquarium. Charges for entry are approximately £10 for adults and half this for children. I’m not a big lover of sealife or other creatures but found this to be a fantastic few hours of entertainment and education. I say a few hours because our time was limited and we had to go but I could easily have spent a much longer amount of time here.
The aquarium is well signposted and easily accessible by car but I’m not sure about public transport. You can spend as long as you like perusing the animals/sealife as well as have something to eat at the inhouse cafe.
Definite value for money, a real experience and an excellent day out for the kids.
