This is a 5 star Rocco Forte hotel, very modern style. Rooms large, light and airy. Bar is a good place to meet, very discreet.
Service is friendly and efficient, and an easy walk to most places. Restaurant good, liked Sunday lunch particularly… of coure it all comes at a price!

The Lowry is the only place to stay in Manchester if you are looking for a comfortable, modern , airy hotel. Very good size rooms.
Unfortunately the staff have an attitude problem which is common in Manchester, in that the locally recruited staff can not do right, because they have no idea what right is, and seem to have had no training to correct this inherent weakness. They are surly, nasty, cocky, arrogant , resentful and sneering.
However, the situation has improved somewhat in the last year or two since the arrival of Polish employees. Smiling, well groomed, eager to please , pleasant and a natural ability in the hospitality industry. Head for a Pole and keep away from the Mancunians if you want to enjoy the stay.
Management seems to be aware of the problem, and although powerless to do anything about it, is always ready to apologise.

The Lowry hotel is one of the most up market and expensive hotels in Manchester. It is known as a haunt of the stars because of the amazing rooms and room service. The hotel was made to compete with hotels like the Britannia and the Renaissance and definitely out weighs them. If you can afford the hefty pricetag and want a luxurious break then it is highly recommended

I enjoy staying here as it is in an ideal location for going into Manchester for shopping or a night out, as it is in the centre and you can just check in and walk straight into the shops.The rooms are modern and comfy and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Alot of the celebs stay here,so try the bar later in the night to see who's about.
