Lighthouse is beautiful too!
A great landmark if you like lighthouses. its supposed to be good for dolphin spotting too. Also the Brahan Seer monument.

This is supposedly the best place to see the Moray Firth Dolphins, however on the day there was no sign & it was a wee bit blustery. A nice run in the car across the bridge to the Black Isle.

this is the best place to see dolphins pretty much anywhere. they are sometimes quite far out and binoculars are needed but they are often up close and frolicing - especially if there are folk kayaking. it is often quite windy as it is on a point, duh. however, round the corner form car park is a great stretch of beach for walking. if it is dolphons you are after, it is worth going out in one of the dolphon trips from avoch (village near fortrose). we have done this as a fa mily a few times and always been really lucky to have dolphins swimming really close to the boat.

Very popular with tourists, locals and dog walkers, Chanonry Point, On the banks of Rosemarky Beach, is by far the best place for spotting dolphins in the Moray Firth. Also used by scientists, who frequent lighthouse next to the beach, Chanonry Point juts out far enough into the water that the dolphins swim mere feet away from you.
The dolphins tend to put on a show, performing jumps out of the water while swimming around in groups of up to 3 or 4, while the seals are also visible bobbing in the water nearby.
Ice-cream vans also appear in the car park, offering refreshments to those hoping to spot a dolphin.

This is a great place to see dolphins from. I went here once with my mum and we took our binoculars and saw a fair few dolphins leaping out of the water. It was a cold wait for them to appear but definitely worth it to see such beautiful animals.

You are pretty much guaranteed to see dolphins here if you get your timing right. Go at the turn of the tide (look in the Inverness Courier for tide times) and stand at the point. There are usually a few folk down at the point watching dolphins, often with big cameras, so it’s easy to find the best spot.

Chanonry point is a popular place to see the firths Dolphins and seals. There is also a memorial to the Brahan Seer. Its a nice sandy beach to walk on and enjoy the veiw across the water to Fort George.
