Foxtons are the worst in the industry. My experience has been of them failing to turn up for meetings, being rushed looking round properties while being taking to see others I didn’t want to see. The agents never seem to know anything about the properties they are showing or the local area.
One of the agents even sent an abusive email to a friend of mine because his flat sale was delayed and the agent didn’t get his bonus in time to go on holiday!
Those ridiculous fees Urbanite mentioned subsidise the large glass fridges full of bottled water, plasma screen TVs in every window, and Mini Coopers that they all drive. They look flashy, but fail to deliver. In comparison they make all the other estate agents look good!
I really would be in a mind to remove all stars if this were possible due to my recent (very one-sided dealings) with an agent from Foxtons. When announcing our move we were cheered by friends who all dropped their jaws when they heard it was leased through Foxtons. All said this was very 'bad news’ but I was still fairly positive it would be alright. After providing everything little details barring a urine sample, and paying to have this sent iun regiestered mail, I’ve spent the best part of the last few weeks experiencing unanswered emails and unreturned phone calls. Even after paying the ridiculous 'fees’ they demand, I’m still left without a contract just days away from the move. What a joke. I thought Foxton’s had a decent rep but after my bad experience - that is in fact still continuing, when I next hear a friend say they’re leasing through Foxton’s I too will join in the pointing and laughing.
