Case Restaurant

In general, this restaurant ticks most of the boxes, the food is of a high quality with a range of choices from different meats and fishes as well at a variety of vegetable options, providing a good eating option for even the fussy eaters!

The atmosphere within the restaurant is quaint and lively, the staff are very friendly and couldnt be more helpful, intact the only criticism I would have is that that time it takes for food to arrive was rather on the slow side which was a shame, but to conclude I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Having heard mostly good reviews I was looking forward to this.

Unfortunately, maybe I came on a bad day, I felt that this was a mediocre restaurant charging London prices in Leicester.

Having said that, I may have to try it again on a weekend when maybe the food does not taste so 'tired' and the staff look more excited.

It should also be mentioned that better sinage would have meant a first-time visitor (like me) did not waste so much time trying to find it.

I wandered around in the city centre, as is the norm, dismissing many venues due to the lack of life within, and found myself outside Case. The prices looked pretty reasonable really, although previous reviews had hinted at expensive, it wasn't that bad! Especially if the food was good. It has a very nice airy feel to it with white panelled walls and ceilings and dark wood floors. The greeting was bright and polite and my waiter cheerful and interested in the menu. I chose the soup, onion and garlic, and trout with pak choi and a side salad as main. I couldn't resist a glass or two of Primitivo red, and sat at a lovely little table overlooking the street (it's all upstairs) with a beautiful white tablecloth. Very nice indeed!

One of the few high quality restaurants in Leicester that is idependently run, and in a secluded upstairs location on Hotel Street. In fact, you’ve probably walked past it and not even noticed it was there. High end dining for special occasions. I have only been once, for a private work function, and found the staff to be friendly, helpful and accomodating. The steak was unbelievably good and knocks spots of pub food and most other chain restaurants nearby.

I had the very good fortune to be a guest on my visit to The Case, meaning thankfully someone else was gladly paying - which they no doubt did as the champagne flowed all night long, and very nice it was too.

The food is very good here, combined with excellent service adding up to a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The champagne bar downstairs looks tremendous fun too, but my credit card screams for mercy when ever i happen to go near it, sadly.

Really nice food and really nice atmosphere but really high prices. A hidden gem upstairs over an oldfashioned sweetshop. very upmarket - not for chavs !!

Nice place, but sadly it is probably the best restaurant in Leicester that hasn’t closed down. Food average, service average. Has a great function room upstairs. Expensive. Has a nice champagne bar downstairs.

Nice ambience, somewhat overrated on the food though, the starter was fine, the main very average. Service a little too slow also, waited 20 minutes for our bill. it had good seating very comfortable!

Possible the best (non Indian, Thai or Chinese) food in Leicester. That said, it’s a little run down and the Champagne bar downstairs looks more like an American Diner. But it’s the food people come for: try the Pigeon Breast to start, followed by the lamb. Would be a five star, but a tiny bit pricey (for Leicester).

I've only ever had drinks here but it's great and feels smart. You could almost not be in Leiecster but London! Quite exclusive and cool but not pretentious.
