There is still a lot that hasn't changed. You will recognize what it could be! So it's worth having a taste and a look but don't expect the most super sensational food you've ever tasted- it's still fast-food. Nevertheless a great place to have a luch break while exploring the East and have some original Berlin food. Currywurst and Döner Kebab are an invention from Berlin.
Go for it but keep in mind that they are not opened on Sundays and close rather early. Enjoy.

Konnopke is one of the truly long established and original institutions. Here you may get the original curry sausage, the traditional Berlin fast food on the street. Many people claiming Konnopke for having the best curry sausages in town. If you are in the area, make your own try. It's still cheap, hot and tasty.
