very basic, hasnt kept up with the times, needs some money spending on it and some staff training, its one up from dominos pizza, only without the friendly staff..would have worked in 1979-1982, but its 2011 now

The 'Mexican’is my first choice of place to eat in Loughborough,ive never had a bad meal there.

The only Mexican in Loughborough serves really fantastic food. Probably my first choice in Loughborough for going out for a good meal. The service is friendly, the food served fast all in a lively environment.

Cactus Cafe is the only Mexican restaurant in Loughborough, but even if it wasn’t, I’m pretty sure it would still be the best! This is a genuinely good Mexican and I visit at every available opportunity. The menu is the usual fare Burrito’s, Fajitas, Nachos, Quesidillas etc, but the taste is absolutely fantastic.

The prices on the menu are also very reasonable and there are special party rates for larger groups. The margaritas are fantastic as is the Sangria that is on offer. If you can fit in a dessert I would highly recommend them! Book as this place gets busy at weekends (and even during the week).

Cactus cafe is a mexican restaurant and i think it is the only mexican restaurant in Loughborough.

Cactus Cafe is a fairly well sized restaurant which is always jam packed with people.
Trust me if you want to eat here you must book in advance.

If you go Cactus Cafe you always start with the Nachos which is enough for 3-4 people. Its delicious.
From there the main courses generally all taste similar, so if you dont like one, more than likely you wont like anything. Although obviously the vegatable chilli which is very nice tastes different from the chicken buritos.
Overall i think the food is very nice.

They also have some standard deserts but they are nothing special.

Cactus Cafe has great food but it is just really busy and usually very noisy so if you wna talk get ready to shout.

Cheap and cheerful Mexican in Loughborough town centre. Although the interior is fairly basic, the food alone is worth a visit. Menu includes all the usual Mexican suspects - nachos (the best I've had anywhere), fajitas, burrito etc etc. Cactus Café is reliable - the food is consistently fabulous and I've never had a bad meal here. Mexican beers and cocktails also add to the appeal! Staff are friendly and helpful.

It's worth booking, particularly on Mondays and Tuesdays which are cheap nights (two courses for about £8) and ask about their discount card which entitles you to two courses for a fiver on Mondays AND raises money for a cancer charity.
