excellent food and pleasant and efficient service. enjoyed the thai red and green curry – my wife loves the scallops. also golden basket is a great way to start.

I recently had the Duck Red Curry (I think it was) from here which had the most amazing complex-flavoured sauce, like some kind of spicy coconut wine, I could have happily poured it into a glass and sipped it like a cocktail. Having said that the fishcake starters weren’t nice, nasty texture like deep-fried foam rubber - ingredients processed to a pulp before frying I think. Staff are nice and gave my 6-yr-old a bowl of prawn crackers while we waited for our takeaway.

Great place to eat. Wonderful food, always well prepared, cooked and served. I have been many times over the last few years and yet to have any kind of dissapointment. That’s quite rare as some of the other “top” places in Ashby can be quite hit or miss depending on how busy they are, the day of the week, season, lunar cycle, whatever.

The menu is quite extensive and the wine list is decent. Try the Gai Yang, chargrilled chicken with sweet chilli sauce… succulent, tender, full of flavour… Yum!!!!

This is a true favourite and has been for many years. Not too many people know about it but the menu is superb, and the food is always the same high quality.
The carved vegetables that decorate the dishes are exquisite and add a nice touch of authenticity to your food.
I truly haven't eaten better Thai food anywhere.
The staff are incredibly polite and helpful and always make a very big fuss of the children.
Highly recommended for the lunch buffet or a superb dinner.

By far the best Thai food I have eaten in the UK (and it also compares very favourably to the food I had in Thailand!). This restaurant is an absolute gem.

The menu is huge and everything I have ever tried has been great. Favourites include fish cakes, sweetcorn cakes and chicken satay for starters (they also do a Thai platter for two or more to share, which would be a great introduction for people unfamilar to Thai cuisine). For the main course the green curry is to die for! Prices are quite reasonable (about £6/£7 for a main course). Set menus are also available.

Staff are really friendly. The decor is fairly traditional and not really my cup of tea, although the chairs are very comfortable! If you fancy somewhere more modern the same people also run a Thai restaurant in Quorn in Leicestershire which is much more funky, modern and upmarket - although that's also reflected in the prices.

I cannot rate this place highly enough - it's worth going for the free prawn and spicy rice crackers alone!
