Little tip - if you go and you have fine hair, don't let him put his "special lotion" on your locks. I did and my hair looked really greasy the day afterwards. Even so, I saw my mum that day and she said: "Ooh, that's the best haircut you've ever had." And I've had a LOT of haircuts.
Pretty reasonable prices for the area too - much cheaper than the likes of Toni&Guy and you're more likely to end up with the haircut you actually want!

This is coming from some one who hates getting their hair cut. In fact, I'd rather go to the dentists. I found Studio 12 as it was right next to work. After asking around, it was recommended by quite a few people at work.
Rang up lunch time Wednesday, got in Wednesday evening (they cut late on this day, which is great if you have to work in the days).
I was served by the boss, who was very friendly and easy to talk to. The part were they ask 'what would you like doing' I have absolutely no idea what to say. He explained to me what I wanted perfectly, without saying anything. He talked to me about what he was doing as he cut, and how to take care and style it. Was very pleased. He is clearly passionate about what he does and it showed in his work, as I left with exactly what I wanted.
He washed, cut, textured, layered then styled, telling me which is the best products to use and why.
Can't recommend it enough, and I may actually get it cut when I should do! Plus the radio had great music on. Note they don't have a chip n pin, but there's a bank next door and he was fine with me popping out for cash.

I have quite challenging, curly hair and Lakis has been styling it for me for at least six years now. I can honestly say that he is the best hairdresser I have ever found.
I always come away from my hair appointments feeling great and I get loads of compliments on my hair all the time, which is lovely.
Lakis is really experienced, helpful and charming and I really wouldn't go anywhere else to have my hair done.
The prices at Studio 12 are really reasonable, especially considering the salon is on Dean Street. It is much cheaper than you would expect for London.
Couldn't recommend highly enough,
Karen

It has been 11 years that I have been going to Lakis for haircuts and I have never once been disappointed! From the first appointment I had at Hairwaves through to the successful launch of Studio 12 I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair!! Had a pretty drastic change of style recently and loved the way it looks! Lakis knows what will and what will not work on my hair and not only gives the style that I ask for but does it in a way that I never would have thought of myself but love a hundred times more than what I'd originally thought. Genuinely the best hairdresser in the world!! Thank you!!

After many hair related disasters, I went to Studio 12 last year on a recommendation from a friend and what a fantastic find! I immediately felt relaxed as the owner Lakis gave me a consultation, where we discussed the colour and style that I wanted. The prices are very reasonable (actually cheaper then my local salons in North London) which is a pleasant surprise for such a trendy hairdressers in Soho.
I have recommended this salon to both my male and female friends who now all go to Studio 12 for their haircuts. I even took my mum last month as part of her birthday treat and she came out looking and feeling great. Thank you studio 12!

Getting a haircut is not something I usually enjoy in fact to be quite honest it’s one of my least favourite things in life. The main reason for this is due to my general ignorance and disinterest for all things follicle I end up like a rabbit in the headlights when faced with the inevitable utterance “What would you like done with your hair today, sir?”, as to be quite honest I don’t have a bloody clue and feel that out of the two of us it should be the hairdresser not my layman self that makes that decision.
As a result my idea of a good barbers/hairdressers is somewhere that ideally just chops your locks in a fashion that makes me look as good as possible or at least offers a guiding hand through the decision making process and Tony’s is one such place. It’s owned and run by young chap (who’s name i assume is Tony) and he has the hairdresser to hairdressee banter down to a tee, offering an informed opinion at all the right junctures. At just under £20 I felt it was rather steep but I guess that’s heavily down to rental costs in Soho. All in all I’d thoroughly recommend this place if you want to get value for around £20 for a cut.
