Recently refurbished similarly to its adjacent neighbour 'The Green Man', but to completely different affect, as they've actually managed to improve the pub.
Not now in the cold, but i think the other review here justly advertises the beer garden, which during summer months is a great plus, with its expanisve decking and umbrella shaded tables. On Friday and Saturday nights, expect the Plough to be quite busy, attracting a young-professional clientele.
The beer is slightly more expensive than its local rivals, about £2.60 a pint, but the atmosphere and decor make it worth that extra 30p. The bar staff are friendly and welcoming in my experience, and you're rarely waiting to be served either. All in all, no complaints from me, as it receives a stirdy 8/10

Refurbed over a year ago, The Plough is a lively and friendly place to drink and have a bite. In the summer time the beer garden is a great addition and is regularly busy with a good atmosphere, pretty ladies are not uncommon. The food is actually very good and not too over priced but its better to eat earlier in the day than later. All in all a decent pub/bar in a decent part of Birmingham.
