In my opinion Digital is Newcastle's best night club.

The place is fairly large, with different parts opening on different nights/ or depending on the amount of people inside. At full capacity there are multiple floors each playing it's own music and with its own style. Thankfully it's not big enough to lose everyone your with for the entire night.

The decor throughout is tastefully done throughout and isn't over the top or tacky at any point. The whole atmosphere is a pretty cool and off the map place.

Music is the places' strongest feature, with the incredibly Funktion One sound system playing it all. Depending on the night there is a different theme and style of music being played, from the rock/indie stonelove to the house music at shin dig. They get plenty of top DJs and live bands in fairly regularly and the music playing changes from area to area if you get sick of any one type.

Drink prices are nothing to write home about, but if you're drinking bottles of lager then XXXX is only £1 and they have plenty of offers and stuff on student nights

A must go for any night out.

Digital is definitely one of my favourite clubs. It opened in 2005 and is set over two floors. It is a very dark club and has a fantastic sound system which creates an amazing atmosphere. Digital attracts some world famous DJ’s who in turn attract huge crowds. They also host some cheesy student nights during the week, but I advise saving your cash for the weekend as the atmosphere is incomparable. If you’re into house music you'll love Shindig, which is on every Saturday night.

This is one of my favourite clubs in Newcastle. They often have world class famous DJs playing at this venue and sometimes (thanks to the huge capacity) even 2 acts on the same night: one on the ground floor and one upstairs. During the week it tends to host cheesy student nights. Fridays are for breaks/electro lovers and Saturdays for a more trendy house crew. Things change though and as everywhere else in the world the 'in' places to be seen at often change. Check online before you head to Digital to see what they have in store.

Been here for one of my favourite club nights in the north -'Waxon'....a quality techo and experimental electro night. Saw (on different evenings) Mylo, Richie Hawtin and 2manydjs and went once for Junior Jack and Kid Creme at their 'Shindig' night. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if youre into that sort of thing. Funktion One sound system, very up for it and friendly/no-nonsence crowd and excellent visuals. 2manydjs was on New Year's Day this year (07) and was voted the 2nd best event in the country for New Year (Mixmag) after Fabric London - so i'll let em have that one since they have the best sound system in the world! Try out Digital's sound system by sticking your head inside the speakers and feeling smug the next day as your ears dont ring one little bit! Buzzin! One word of warning is that it finishes at 4am and unlike some cities, Newcastle isnt renouned for its aftershow clubs (there arent any yet) so just bare this in mind - start early or go back to a party. Mind you, this is at the time of writing, theres bound to be some afterhours place hitting the big time soon.

The location of digital unfortunately is a let down as when inside it is actually quite a good night. Digital is in a good place for anyone who dosn't live in Newcastle and gets a train in and out, however for everyone who lives in the city it is far away from the centre of town and other night life that suits the people that visit digital. One thing i must say however is the full Bose sound system is phenomenal.

Fantastic club with nights to cater for every taste. The decor is excellent with a dark, underground feeling. The staff are helpful and friendly. Located near the train station it is really easy to find and in an excellent location.
