You know how we are always discussing the rather poor quality of pork pies, most have never been as good as " CUSSONS" of quay road Bridlington {that's many years ago and no longer around now} well i had heard about glaves pork pies and then read an article in a Sunday Mail supplement praising the quality of these pork pies and so while driving in that direction i decided to drop in and give them a try.

I bought two smaller type and one large here's my verdict,excellent pastry case and filling,but i had a problem which i struggled a bit with "too much salt"i think the level would be well above food standard guide lines particularly from ,a health point of view, at first i thought it might just have been the one pie i had eaten,i then i gave the other pie to a friend to try { a pork pie fanatic} he said a very good pork pie shame about being a bit too salty the larger pie was also over salty.I gave the pye 4 stars less salt and it would have been five.How about a lab. test from a health point of view .What does the baker think about this observation?

A fantastic country butchers with that lovely smell of freshly slaughtered meat in the air.
Does an amazing selection of hot sandwiches and pies. The pork pies are truly superb. The fresh meats too are very good quality and locally sourced. Well worth travelling to rather then buying at the supermarket
