I"ve been for Afternoon Tea & Champagne Afternoon Tea four or five times. The food is wonderful, and they even do a gluten-free, or a wheat-free version! The service is great, staff are very helpful.

I've also stayed in the hotel bit three times. The new building is lovely. The beds comfy, the bathrooms nice, everything is clean. The restaurant is superb & has choices for vegetarians and those with allergies. The spa is heavenly.

Well-worth the money.

Just returned from a birthday treat of a champagne afternoon tea at Crewe Hall - what a disappointment. The scones you could have used as cricket balls, and the service left a lot to be desired.

Sorry will not visit again and definately would not recommend.

Good food and good service. It is expensive but not for the quality. I highly recommend the steak!

The old building is beautiful, and very imposing as you drive up to it. Inside it has vaulted ceilings, ornate paintings and intricate woodwork. Bucketfuls of character. This contrasts with the newer part of the building, which is aimed more towards the corporate market - all clean lines and very funtional.

I attended an overnight function here. My room was in the new part and was clean and comfortable, although nothing to get excited about (well, I have been known to get excited about hotel rooms … we all have our problems). The food was good, as was the service.

I was booked into the Spa for some treatments, which were great, although to be honest I’ve nothing to compare them to - first time for everything. I used the pool and gym as well, both of which I would describe as adequate, but then I doubt many people book in just for that.

Top marks for a beautiful old building.

I recently held my wedding reception at Crewe Hall. Other than a few minor hiccups in the run up to the big day, the service that was provided by Crewe Hall on the day of our wedding was excellent. The food was delicious and the service of the meal was extremely well organised. We were given the red carpet treatment which made you feel very special – just what you want on your wedding day. The buffet in the evening was fantastic and was demolished by our guests within about 10 minutes. The bedrooms are all beautifully decorated both in the old hall and in the new modern extension. Crewe Hall have also now added a spa which opened the weekend of our wedding but unfortunately due to other commitments we didn’t get chance to try this. The only problems we did have in the run up to the big day was some confusion over the room reservations for some of our guests which did cause a it of stress but it was also sorted well before the big day arrived and in the end everything went without a hitch.

Its been nicely renovated over the last couple of years and the brasserie is excellent. I have been to a corporate event here and taken friends and family just to get photos in front of the place.

This place it ok - parking is all over the place and as you can see from the other reviews - FAR TOO MANY WEDDINGS! The two sides of the hotel offer a nice contrast but you need to pick your time to stay. It’s no place for a quiet break if there are weddings on and the bars get full of people. ASk before you book. Very good value though.

i have been here as a guest for 3 weddings and also for an evening meal in 2 of the restaurants - the main restaurant in the old part of the hall and their more modern alternative brasserie. The atmosphere in both places was amazing. the staff are really attentive and see to your every need but without being intrusive. the food is of the highest quality (although if you have a huge appetite it may be that you have to order several courses as they don’t do giant portions!)

the weddings were all fantastic experiences and seemed to run seamlessly and all of my friends who have tied the knot here have commented on how helpful and stress-free the staff and management had made their day for them.

my only downfall for this otherwise fabulous hotel is the price of their drinks. if you are going for a special occasion or even afternoon tea in the hall then you do have a variety of options available (ok prices for soft drinks or teas and coffees) but as a guest in a restaurant or in the hall you have to pay top whack for a glass of wine or beer. the wines on the wine lists seemed lovely choices that you might be willing to pay that little extra for but take a bit extra just in case!!

overall though this place is highly recommended - perfect for a special occasion - very romantic!

Have stayed here after wedding.
The whole wedding and reception was handled wonderfully and there wasnt a hitch all day, for which they would have earnt the 5 stars already.

But further to that the hotel room (i stayed in the modern half) was splendid. It was a little expesnive but the buffet breakfast in the morning helped to make it worth it. Service was a little slow getting you sat down but the restaurant itself was very clean, and freshly prepared hot food was always being brought out throughtout service.

The building itself is old, and looks beautiful, it made for some lovely pictures of wedding.

The staff were very helpful throughouut and made the wedding day and whole experience wonderful.

highly, highly recommended

big stately home which makes a perfect setting for civil wedding ceremonies, and wedding receptions alike. The modern extension is well bordered off from the older part, and doesnt attempt to do the 'fake’ old look that some hotles attempt. Instead it is kept as a very minimalist and modern hotel section, and works wonderfully well. The older part of the hotel is amazing to walk around, and the food served on function evenings is brilliant. The function rooms are large, and all have their own bar room, and dance floor so are self containing and perfect for receptions.

The sweeping drive way and beautiful gardens add to the whole experience of staying here and you really do feel a little bit like stepping into an jane austen novel while you’re there.

A lovely hotel

Great place for a traditional afternoon tea even if you don’t stay in the hotel. Great traditional setting! Selection of sandwiches, cakes, are served on a 3 tiered silverware.

For Crewe - Crewe Hall is a marvel. It is a fantastic 16th century building situated in gorgeous well kept grounds. The entrance is fantastic with huge stone statues and craftmanship everywhere you can see. There are huge stone steps that lead up to the entrance - which is a perfect place to take pictures for events (such as my prom) weddings etc

Inside is equally as fantastic with fabolous decorations - a perfect venue for a wedding. However you can visit in the day for lunch even though you may feel slightly out of place than you would mcdonalds!

The gravel road leads around the whole of the building where you can find the leisure complex and function suite. I haven’t visited the leisure complex however by looking through the windows looks fantastic and very clean. The function suite has its own (expensive) bar area and large function room which can hold over 100+ people. Situated round the back of the main building its a more modern development which is very popular with todays society and businesses.

Food and drink is particularly expensive and the food wasn’t of the highest quality that they prepared for our year 13 prom however it was adequate.

Staff are very smart and efficient serving you promptly and with a smile. They are insistent in providing excellent service and ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Definitely a place to see or even book for a function.

Crewe Hall is a fabulous old historical building now converted into a luxury Hotel, with all the extra amenities. As you drive up the tree lined, long driveway you approach this fabulous Jacobean building, with the stone stairs up to the main entrance adorned with huge stone dragons. The interior is all as fabulous and is worth looking around and learning all of its history dating back to the 16th Century. With stained glass features, ornate carved wood and huge fireplaces.
The hotel is now a mix of old and new with a newly built wing which is more contemporary, attached to the main Hall with a glass walkway. There is a lovely Brasserie here offering modern dining with a unique revolving bar.Food is lovely but the room lacks atmoshere. The rooms in this wing are again modern and stylish.I prefer the original part of the hall, the rooms are more romantic and traditional with luxury, cosy decor. The main Hall has the Ranulph restaurant offering fine dining and excellent service, with a very good wine list and relax after in one of the sitting rooms, i much preferred eating here surrounded by the history of the warm feeling rooms.
Wedding services are also offered here and they even have their own chapel.
