Clever Wally’s is one of those innovations that is so very original but seems so obvious!

The ingredients used are all fresh & aromatic & it’s entertaining to watch them make your pizza while you wait. The pizza came out perfectly, the base was crisp & the toppings just right!

It’s perfect for impromptu evenings at home with your friends. I don’t think anyone that samples this particular pizza will ever go back to conventional pizza take-away/deliveries again!

It’s so rare & such a pleasure to have innovation in ‘fast’ food - I challenge anybody to find anywhere better in Chiswick!

(If you’re really nice to the people making the pizza, sometimes they give you free cookie dough balls to bake as well…. shhhh!)

Another spin on the takeaway experience. This time the shop makes up your pizza, but you take it home to cook. The theory is that makes it fresher than a) getting something delivered or b) buying a pre-made pizza from the supermarket. I have to say I was dubious - it seemed another gimmick for gimmick's sake. But I have to say I was impressed. It really is better.

The guys in the shop were helpful & friendly. You could either order set pizzas off the menu, or make up your own custom combo. You can choose from 7", 12" or 16" sizes, plus you can add to this salads, drinks & desserts.

It takes 10 minutes from them to roll the dough, make up the pizzas & package them up. Although you can phone ahead or get the "raw" pizza delivered, rather than wait in the shop. Each pizza comes with its own cooking instructions, and takes 10-15 minutes to cook when you get home. Results were impressive - the ingredients were fresh & the base was just right. Salad was good too. Be warned - like us, you may struggle to get a 16" pizza into your oven though!

I can count on one hand the number of pizza's I have ordered in from the usual highstreet names - and always disappointed when soggy, warm (more normally cold) pizza arrives dripping with grease and chewy plasticy cheese(?)

Finally someone has come up with the bright idea of making take away pizza genuinely tasty. I loved their newspaper style menu, a good omen of things to come I thought. 30 mins later my first Clever Wally arrived - it looked fresh, dare I say even healthy. Eating didn't disappoint - good enough to serve for friends. 3 orders later I think I can say these guys have cracked it. (BTW - my kids think its the coolest thing since PS2 - adding their own toppings and putting them in the oven...)
