Shottle Hall Country House Hotel

I have been meaning to post this for some months and at last have got round to it.
We had our Civil Ceremony here back in May, and it was stunning!
The location, the food, the house, the bedrooms and most of all the staff are all superb.
The team at Shottle made our day flawless, and ensured everything ran within seconds of it’s timing.
We had a perfect day and everyone at Shottle Hall made it worth every penny and gave us lots of happy memories that will last a lifetime.
If your going to do it .. do it in style… do it at Shottle Hall.

Shottle Hall is a beautiful Country House within the dreamy landscape of derbyshire,
The grounds are very well kept, The staff are warm and friendly and the service was excellent,
If you want to be in the middle of nowhere in beautiful settings this stunning hotel is highly recommended for money well spent and a thoroughly enjoyable and romantic get away.

What a lovely hotel. The bedroom was fantastic, four-poster, old style bath etc. The building and decor are beautiful and the dining room has to be seen to be believed.

We had a great couple of days and the nearby countryside is lovely.

I’d certainly love to stay there again and can confidentally recommend it to everyone.

My boyfriend treated me to a surprise weekend at Shottle Hall - and it was the most amazing weekend ever. The hall is gorgeous and from the moment I stepped into, felt like a princess. Advertised as a boutique hotel, it really fits the bill and the decoration is a very tasteful mix of classic, antique and modern. The art work is very interesting indeed.

We stayed in the Roccoco room, which was like a room designed for Marie Antoinette, four poster bed, stunning antique furniture, amazing views of the countryside and a HUGE modern bathroom.

We also had a delicious meal in the restaurant, it seemed like a real effort had been made to include local produce - and it really made the difference.

The only bad part of the weekend was having to leave - we will certainly be returning in the near future and have enquired about a wedding booking too!

The food, bedrooms and setting were not worth the price tag and for the expense of dinner - we would’ve got a better service elsewhere.

There really needs to be some staff training.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to a friend.

this is a brilliant hotel it has lots of great stuff inside e.g swimming pool spar and the beds and hotel rooms are just purfect and the staff help loads thy ask if you need anything at all and this place is in the countrieside

Shottle Hall is a small boutique hotel just a few miles north of Derby, set in the beautiful derbyshire countryside. Only eight bedrooms at present, but there is view to creating further I am told. Although it's quite expensive to stay here, it has amazing interior design, fabulous food and excellent service. There's even a heli-pad!
Shottle Hall also has license to hold civil wedding ceremonies and what a location! Has to be the best hotel in Derby.

What more can you say about the place where you get married? You choose the location because it is, in your eyes, a beautiful, comfortable place where you want to spend the most significant day of your life.

On that, I'm thrilled to say that Shottle Hall, it's staff and the quality of the venue on the day lived up to our expectations!

Situated in a very accessible rural location, on the south-eastern fringe of the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire, the hall is family run and you feel it. Attentive, without ever being over the top, with each of the 8 rooms individual in style and feel. A case of take your pick!

The venue doubles as a hotel day by day and I'd recommend it to anyone who is passing through The Peak District or spending time in or around Chatsworth House.
