That's great Bavarian restaurant. The half knee is great and delicious. In winter is always full of people, half tourists attracted by the very famous typical place. Prices moderated.

If you have any difficulty finding Haxnbauer, it might be because a better address would be Münzstraße 2 rather than what's listed.
Haxnbaur was a great, traditional Bavarian restaurant. I ordered the pork knuckle (should be the 1st dish on the menu) which was delicious, not to mention gigantic as well. It also came with some of the best sauerkraut I ate in my 1 month in Germany.
I also had the pleasure of chatting with an English-speaking waiter from Canada/New York City who was very friendly. If you can get him, he definitely helps you enjoy your meal!
