The worst pizza ive ever had! Tasteless, greasy, over priced, soggy base, cheap over salty sun dried tomatoes! Awful. Standards appear to have dropped as this used to be a great place to get a decent pizza, not any more. Will not be going back.

I have only recently discovered this takeaway and I’m very impressed. All types of food offered and the quality is excellent. I recommend the pad thai and chicken burrito!

Normally when a takeout supplies food from more than one style of cuisine I get suspicious, but Globe is something else. With an array of dished from Chinese, to Mexican, to Italian with many others in between you are spoilt for choice. Although more pricey than your average take away you certainly get what you pay for and the food is second to none.
Delivery sometimes takes a while but if you order over £35 then you get a free bottle of wine…which is nice. Their full menu is available online which is always a bonus, and I understand that you can order online also, although I’ve never tried it.

Unreal. Expensive, but very very good.

Globe’s 'food fusion’ concept is a concept I have never really come across in a takeaway and it incorporates all the bits of each takeaway that I love best. The great thing is the choice; there really is something for everyone, and with a choice of Mexican, Chinese, Thai, Curry, Italian and Japanese, you can’t really go wrong as there’s always something to suit the mood.
The thing about Globe’s food is that it’s fresh. It smells, tastes and looks fresh; it’s not swimming in a nasty greasy sauce, undercooked or a haven for germs. It’s perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, delicious food at an honest price. The price is one of the things that keeps me coming back to Globe. A meal for two from Globe (depending on how much you eat, of course) costs around £25, and there are always left overs. Although for two students this is a much pricier alternative than, say, the local Kebab King, the product that Globe deliver really is worth the price, and they do not abuse the delivery time-frame, like other companies are wont to do.
Dishes that are recommended from Globe include the Peking Duck (always a favourite), the Satay Chicken and the Teriyaki Chicken, all delicious and fresh takes on favourite dishes.

The one take away I’ve never had a bad meal from. As the name suggests, Globe’s menu is eclectic, fresh and dishes from nearly every continent can be cooked up. A bit pricy if you go for starters and deserts on top of mains, and fancy rice but well worth the couple of quid difference. Tasty and good quality ingredients mean that this doesn’t feel like a cheeky take away but rather a well prepared meal from a good restaurant.
Something for everyone and so nachos can sit along side a Thai curry. They offer a good selection of international beers too. Delivery can be a bit slow so if you’re in walking distance or driving past; it’s a good idea to stop off. You can even watch them cooking your meal which I always find reassuring.

Restaurant Quality takeaway in West Didsbury (next to Pizza Express on lapwing lane). This is several notches up from your usual takeaway. There are a collection of chefs who each cook their own specialties, rather than a jack of all trades situation (which I originally expected this may have been). The Thai from here is superb (much better than the ‘blue’ kid on the block Thai takeaway doing the rounds). It’s pricier than elsewhere but when you see the amount of chefs they have (they aren’t cutting corners) they you can appreciate why it costs that little extra. I prefer to go in an pick the food up myself: partly because it’s quicker but also to sample the buzz of the competing chefs knocking out these international dishes.
My absolute favourite starter is the Negima Yakatori - chicken on skewers with spring onion and a Yakatori sauce.
The Chinese and Thai dishes are fantastic as are the Mexican and there also serve Korean and Japanese. I’ve yet to try the Indian and Italian but that’s down to me already having a top notch Nepalese restaurant/takeaway (several actually) virtually on my doorstep and I make my own fresh pizza’s these days (you’ve gotta try em!).
If your internet enabled refrigeration system has lost connection to the ‘intra-wap’ and forgotten therefore to restock itself with ale then Globe also deliver booze (all the Oriental favourites such - Tiger, Asahi, Tsing Tao and Singha) right up to your chin should you wish them to.
Gold star takeaway.
