On an evening this place is very dark and dingey - which is EXACTLY what its charm is. To look at it you'd think a shot of house vodka is maybe all they can stretch to, but then when you get close to the bar you will be amazed by the professionalism of the cocktail staff. Their range of spirits and variety of cocktails really does take some beating, and when you give a tip (and you will because they deserve it) they announce it to everyone and you get applauded! Very happening atmosphere in the dark! Think Coyote Ugly without the annoying Yanks!

Evil eye is my favourite bar in York, it makes the best cocktails and has a massive range of choice. The bar staff are entertaining and friendly.

They also offer a good selection of foods with many alternative dishes, choose from Thai, Chinese, Japanese and many others.

The decor is different and it streches up three floors, with beds and couches to sit on.

Definately worth a visit.

I love this bar. It's a very indie, alternative hang out. Mainly inhabited by students. The drinks are affordable but the best thing about them is the variety, you've never seen so many spirits in one room in all your life. The weird and wonderful decor makes this a different but fun bar to chill out in and have a drink.
