Unpackaged is great! I get most of my dry goods here and they give you a discount if you bring your own packaging. Everyone is really helpful and friendly, the food is fabulous and healthy, and I feel like I’m doing my bit when I shop here. I’m looking forward to their move, which is rumoured to be eastwards…

I had a chance to try their lovely popcorn at the Qype summer party and loved it as much as I love their environmentally friendly concept. I spent a long time living in a country that has a much higher level of environmental awareness than the UK and it is really nice to see shops opening in London that are environmentally friendly, encourage the use of reusable packaging, and support fair trade, social enterprises and small local producers.
What is there to not love about that?

I didn't get chance to sample the popcon with soy sauce roasted seeds that Unpackaged were kind enough to provide for punters at last week's Qype Summer Party, but from the happy faces I clocked, it seemed like it went down well. And although I have been too hectic to tuck in at last week's shindig, I have had a snoop around the gorgeous old-fashioned shop in Clerkenwell before, and I'll be back as soon as I get chance.
Last time I had a gorgeously gooey blueberry flapjack, served up in only a napkin. So with the eco-credentials and the knowledge that all the products are fresh, organic and sustainably-sourced, means I have all the excuses I need to indulge in the cakes, biscuits and even booze on offer, as well as jams and chutneys, tea and other household bits and bobs.

I love this shop! Its really handy as it is just around the corner from me. They stock yummy treats and cupboard staples. Their fresh milk in glass bottles is almost like having it delivered to your door. I love their organic breads, cheeses from neal's yard, freshly baked organic brownies, fresh spices & also enjoy the convenience of getting household products like washing up liquid & bicarb soda without any extra packaging. It's rumoured the shop will be relocating, which I am extremely bummed about!

I got to meet the lovely folk from Unpackaged at the Qype Summer Party and sampled (quite a few of!) their popcorn cones. I loved the fact that the popcorn came with yummy seeds and the magazine cones were so charming! Their stall was so popular that they ran out of magazine cones so they ended up serving their tasty popcorn in napkins - very handmade, very cute! I'm so glad that their shop is at my end of town - I'll be popping in to sample their deli food as soon as possible.

I had the opportunity to try this light and healthy popcorn at Qype's Summer Party.
Maybe I was supposed to have only one paper cone, as a sample, but later I went back for more of that crunchy goodness and got a second one. Ha ha. Win.
Gourmet popcorn is a great idea and it's miles away from any over-buttered, sickening rubbish you might have had at multiplex cinemas. On top of that, the whole idea revolves around environmentally friendly packaging (or non-packaging) which makes everything even better.
I really want to visit the shop soon.

What a great idea! Specifically, offering quality local, organic and environmentally friendly products that you can buy as little or as much of as you want - as opposed to the place my mum used to take her Tupperware to fill up with disgusting, knock-off Coco Pops.
At the Qype Summer party I tried their healthy popcon with soy sauce roasted seeds, whcih was very tasty.
I've not been in to the shop yet, but it's very local to me, so I'll definitely be checking it out, kilner jars in hand.

I tried their seed and popcorn cone at the Qype Summer Party, and it was indeed delicious. Even more so when you realise how ethical their approach to business is, both in considering their carbon footprint and promoting organic and Eco-friendly produce. I'll definitely check out their shop next time I'm in the area.

I had a really yummy popcorn and seeds combo from the Unpackaged team at the Qype summer party last night. A great concept of taking your own container so that you reduce waste and the seeds in paticular were delicious.

Fantactic alternative to traditional pop-corn. I like them more for being eco-friendly and using magazines as packaging. But their philosophy reaches our further. They really try be conscious about their footprint and their sources (the company received the Observer Ethical Ward in 2008). Before going to the party I didn't know them. I'm happy I do now:)

I love this place because it feels so nice to be in there. I need to buy this stuff anyway, I HATE all the waste that goes along with groceries usually, and it’s a really beautiful friendly little store.
(mini tirade: why, when you’re in a normal organic fancy shop, is everything in tiny little amounts in big packages? Like, two lemons wrapped up in three layers of film? Makes no sense!)

This is a such an exciting discovery that once your ears are aching from my effusing, you'd be forgiven for thinking that I am on their payroll.
It's not just that their exhaustively long list of fine merchandise is fair trade, organic and environmentally friendly, nor is it that they run a green-tastic policy of encouraging you to bring your own container (with the incentive of a discount) BUT the cold, hard fact that so much of what they sell I actually want.
I chanced upon this store as I was skedaddling off somewhere else, so my time was limited, but I was here long enough to sniff out the loose leaf tea, dried fruits, herbs & spices and household spices that will demand regular, return visits.
Yes, a more winners than Lester Piggott situation: the environment benefits, your wallet benefits and your body is enriched by the wholesome, hearty ingredients that you load up on here.
It looks great too, located in the quaint old-fashioned Lloyds' Dairy.
