The Cricketers is a very typical pub in Richmond or in outer London. The food isn’t particularly good, the atmosphere isn’t amazing, the building isn’t atmospheric, the beer isn’t special, however it is right on Richmond green and on a sunny day, it brings out a magical quality to the area, sociable people spilling out on to the sidewalk, cricketers trying to win a game, families playing on the side of the green.

The Cricketers is an OK-ish Youngs pub in an excellent location, right on Richmond green. However, if you really want to drink Youngs - then you can do so in a better pub - The White Cross, or The Waterman's Arms but 2 minutes walk away. If you want to drink summer beer, then The Princes Head next door is Fullers and has discovery on draught all the time, so there's not a great deal to recommend The Cricketers over these places. OK - the staff are slightly hotter here, but that's not why you go drinking, right?!

A great place to sit outside and laze around on a summers evening. The Cricketers must have one of the best pub location in the south england.

Sip away on Discovery, chatting with friends, with the soft knock of leather on willow in the background.

Tables outside the pub get very crowded, so if you ask the barman nicely, he will give you a plastic glass and you can go and sit on the green!
