Expensive holidays but worth every penny, I would agree with Molly54 that the villas are a bit basic, however you can upgrade to VIP Villas or chalets, and have your own Spa area which include an outdoor bathing area, which is fantastic stargazing whils’t lying in warm water and a drink on hand.

Transport during your stay is either by cycle or walking, numerous activities which cost extra, or the subtropical paradise which is inclusive.

Several restaurants are available but a special mention must go to the Indian restaurant, which is the best asian meal I have ever had.

Great fun for families or groups.

Center Parcs is one of my most favourite places - great place to go even if you don't have kids! I have been to Sherwood and Elvedon.

The villa are fairly basic but have everything you would need and always have a patio area. The pools are fantastic, especially the outdoor rapids. Great when the sun is shining too!

There are several restaurants at Center Parcs - American, Chinese, Bistro, cafe, snack bar, so something for everyone. Prices in the restaurants and in the grocery store tend to be quite pricey, so if you are looking to be thrifty, take most things you need with you and cook in the well equipped kitchen.

The spa at Sherwood in lovely - had an Indian head massage and it was just divine!

I've been to Center Parcs in Sherwood Forest numerous times, and never failed to enjoy myself. The villas are a bit basic but have everything you need and are set in lovely woodland - you really feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. Many also have barbeques on a small pation area - perfect for a fun summer's evening!

There are loads of activities on offer - many you have to pay extra for, although the swimming pool is free. The pool, or 'subtropical paradise' is brilliant fun - rapids (we've not laughed so much in AGES), a wave machine, flumes etc - and then lots of seating area to chill out and have a chat (or even a beer!) afterwards.

Great for families or groups of friends.
