Freni e Frizioni is a modern classic for the Roman “aperitivo”.
A lovely spot in the Trastevere area, loads of nice looking yet laid back people, good and cheap cocktails and free food. Yes, free food. From 7 p.m., when you buy a drink you can help yourself as much as you want from the tasty buffet consisting on vegs, cold pasta salad, bread and spreads.
You don’t have to dress up, people come here straight from the office as well as from the beach.
Best time: from 8 p.m.
