We’ve been here a couple of times and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The wood-fired oven means fantastic-tasting pizzas with a perfect crispy base.
Although it might be a little more expensive than other places, they more than make up with the quality and quantity of food.
It’s a good place to have a party as well - I went with a group from work and we had a good room at the back.
If you go, treat yourself to the tasty antipasti platter!

Fantastic food most of the time. We live round the corner and have been in over 50x since it opened. If there is a problem they will get it sorted eg wrong dish served, forgot one of the parties main courses, coffee stone cold etc You may need to book as it can get really busy.
Handsome attentive waiters and family friendly.

Family friendly Italian restaurant. Not the cheapest place to eat, but great food. Pizzas are very good, especially calzone.
Bright clean decor, always lots of covers, friendly staff.

The best pizza I’ve tried in Scotland. A little on the expensive side, but worth it.

Easily the best Pizza to be found in Edinburgh, the stone oven cooked Pizzas are taste as good as any I’ve had in Italy.

The place is very child friendly where the staff make you feel like your children brighten their working day rather than a chore to serve.

Great place to eat out. A lovely, vibrantly decorated place that creates a great atmosphere.
The menu is extensive and its hard to choose what you would like, I have been a few times and I think the Carbonara is my favourite! It is all well priced with main meals about £7-8 and it has some great sidesd for just a few pounds each.
The staff are great, if not a bit loud but it all jsut adds to the atmosphere of the place!

Went there on Saturday evening for a birthday treat. The staff were very good telling us that the starters were generous and we might struggle but unfortunately failed to point out that what I had ordered for both courses was essentially the same thing, Fiocchetti Vegetariano and Calzone Vegetariano. The starter was very nice containing a good mix of vegetables but the calzone was mostly cheese and ended up being a bit of a struggle to finish. Service was good during the meal despite the place being very busy. Everyone else had log fired pizzas with a variety of toppings which they seemed to enjoy. Not in a hurry to go back but I’ll order risotto the next time I think.

I went to dinner here solely based on the look of the front of the restaurant and the fact that it always seems busy. And, I was pleased. It has a large menu of gourmet pizzas, pasta dishes and some great house specialties (mostly fish). The staff was nice, though they do overdue the Italian bit. The food was excellent and not highly priced. This is definitely a restaurant worth going back to.

Down to earth pizzeria with good range of pizzas and pasta. Friendly service, great atmosphere and reasonable prices. You’ll most probably need to book Friday and Saturday evenings if you want a table. And if you want to end the evening differently, carry on to the Port o Leith in Constitution Street.

Authentic, Italian pizza: mumma mia, it's good! Step into La Favorita and, believe me, you'll experience precisely why it is one of Edinburgh's most highly regarded restaurants.

Winner of numerous awards for its outstanding, stone oven baked pizzas, one can not be anything other than impressed by the quality of the food produced at this traditional, Italian pizza-house. The sheer size and variety of pizzas on offer is mouth-watering - it leaves a sumptuous taste in one's mouth.

Affordable prices and friendly staff add to a fantastic dining experience. I would certainly not hesitate to go back.

This is a great restaurant.
Lovely italian food. Amazing Gluten free option available! They have clowns at the weekend for children and has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and fantastic service. I would highly recommend it for all the family. A really friendly place.

La Favorita is a festival of Italian tastes. The contemporary chic interior stirs up feelings of space and style while dramatic lighting and decor set the scene. The lively atmosphere buzzes with music and friendly waiters that would seemingly hug you if given half the chance.

Pizza and pasta are transformed to gourmet dishes and are bursting with colour and flavour. The portions are reasonable and are money well spent. The desserts are heaven on a plate and thus make it difficult to decide on just one!

This newish Italian Resteraunt on Leith Walk is fantastic. From great pizza, different pasta to heavenly desserts, take your pick. Mine is the Vesuvio Pizza or the Fagottini alla polpa di scampi always finished off with Tiramisu. All at a pretty good price! My special place in Edinburgh!
