La Favorita

I live 5 minutes away from La Favorita in Morningside, and I will l never order food from there.  Why?  Because every day they park 7 of their little yellow cars on my street and leave them there until delivery time starts.  There is no consideration of the older residents and residents with families who need to park near their homes but cannot due to these cars taking up valuable parking spaces.  They are not a family friendly restraurant or takeaway in my eyes!!

You know what kids love most - unhealthy food. And pizza is in the top 5! My two little devils adore this place. We come here on every occasion. The atmosphere is great for families with kids. The staff is friendly and communicative, always asking if everything is okay. They really take care of their clients. We appreciate this!

Excellent service & practically zero waiting time between placing the order and it landing on the table.

The Vesuvio is not as hot as it’s name would suggest and the secondary waiter station placing is potentially inconvenient but otherwise you’d be hard pressed to find anything wrong here. I look forward to going back and actually managing to try the tempting sounding cheese board.

I must say this is the best Pizza outside of Rome. Very friendly staff, just the right crispyness of the Pizza dough, and a lovely selection of drinks.
Highly recommended: Peroni riserva beer.
The steak is also amazing.

Superb pizza and service. Great menu. Decent wine list. Super place to take kids. It’s a little pricey but worth it for pizza this good.

We’ve eaten in the restaurant and had deliveries from here and I can’t fault it.
Their food is delicious and they have a great mixture of pizza, pasta and fresh anti pasta type things.
It’s more expensive than a normal pizza place but that’s because it’s so good.

La Favorita has fast become a firm favorita with me!
Passed by the restaurant on the Leith Walk (about 15 minute walk from the city centre) and feeling peckish decided to give it a go.
We were given a nice, clean table and the waiter instantly made us feel very welcome with his lively patter and infectious good cheer.
The menu is very reasonably priced with a wide variety of options for every palate. As a vegetarian, I often struggle due to menu limitations so was pleased to find a lot of different pasta and pizza options.
The starters and desserts are also noteworthy with their mouthwatering tastiness and budget-friendly prices.
Better still, La Favorita does home delivery! An infinity times better than the usual run-of-the-mill cardboard junk.
Definitely give the place a go if you’re local, you won’t regret it

Have been there for my recent birthday, 5 people, and I must say everyone there was so charming and nice.
Had Tiramisu first, absolutely lovely, my friends had amazing cocktails.
Pizza was the best I ever had in Britain, like Italy.
special recommendation : Peroni riserva beer.

Today was my birthday, my hubby and I went for a meal in La favorita , and it was great , The food was sensational :D the Pizza mare blue was great , and we also had the veal milanese and torre di pollo ! and both dishes were fab! :)

The staff were energetic and had a real italian flavor to them lol :)

I totally recommend it , It isn’t the cheapest but i say it is worth every pence :D

The best pizzas you will find outside of Italy. They have a very good selection to choose from, whether you are in the restaurant or getting takeaway, and prices aren't too expensive. Also a good pasta menu to choose from, although with such an extensive menu and can be difficult to pick which dish you want most! Service has always been good when I have been there, and there traditional italian deserts are amazing. La Favorita is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area, but you will likely need to book, it is often busy.

Living just around the corner i've been here a number of times for both sit in meals and take away. The menu is a brilliant range of authentic italian pastas and pizzas. Favourites of mine are the gnocchi bolognese, potato and spinach pizza and especially the steak pizza. A friend i took here for the first time said it was the best pizza he's had in his 8 years in edinburgh and i'd have to agree.

Ok I know there are a ridiculous amount of reviews on here already but Ive just been to La Favouritas ten minutes ago and I always forget how brilliant they are until I go back in.

This is a proper authentic Italian and the selection of pizzas and quality of them no grease, perfect base they have are just divine! The salami and potato is lovely and there is a fabulous seafood range on the menu which is always top of my priorities... The seafood crepes are absolute perfection. The gnocchi selections are ace as well.. Theres not a lot of places that do gnocchi in Scotland and it is one of my favourites... A lovely selection of wines as well.. Now for the service...

You are greeted at the door - even for the takeaway! In the restaurant they are just so attentive and knowledgeable about their products and they make you feel like its a special occasion every time your there - even if its just a casual lunch.. Children and babies are welcome too.
Impeccable service.. but luckily, the food backs it up... Best Italian and one of the best restaurants in Edinburgh.

When I moved to Leith the thing I was most excited about was being able to order pizza from La Favorita. The five cheese pizza is absolutely to kill and die for.

The pizza was wonderful and the staff were attentive, but not overly pushy for us to leave. A lovely afternoon, despite the wind howling outside! Great deal well worth it.

Definetly the best pizza in Edinburgh. The delivery service is not always fast, especially during the busy dinner time, but their product are soooo tasty that it worth! Always! Very recommended

Great big pizzas and efficient service. Not expensive either- around a tenner for a pizza. Our starters were big too. All in all value for money. Does what it says on the tin.
