Surely not the best place around. Cheap yes, but the atmosphere is poor and the food is not what expected. Slow service too. I do not recommend this pub, there are better places in this area.
i love their traditional breakfast.. its cheap and good.. i am travelling 10 miles just to have my breakfast here..

Similar to your average down-market Wetherspoons. Decent selection of lagers, cheap etc. I spent several happy evenings there as a student (at the end of term when your loan runs out) but it can get heavy on certain nights and some of the patrons quite clearly bathe in their own urine. Can’t really recommend given the excellent selection of pubs in Islington.

Its spoons…its cheap and cheerful. You could probably write quite similar reviews for a lot of their pubs. This isn’t one of the airport hangeresque venues though, so is one of the better ones
The original Angel Inn that gave the area its name dates back from 1639. This is next door to the original location. At the time of its inception it was an area frequented by a lot of thieves (but the Estate Agents have all moved a bit further up…Upper street now.).
