Hilton Cobham

Although it is set in nice grounds, with a golf course and good leisure facilities, this is an expensive hotel in terms of value for money. Upgraded room (which was apparently a Plaza room rather than the standard room, confusingly called Executive) was reasonable size but not comparable with other Hiltons I have stayed in. However, staff were on the whole extremely helpful and friendly and made this stay a good experience. Only exception was guy in the leisure club who was really surly and failed to explain anything, including the fact that you had to collect a key for the lockers from him! Parking was free and there was plenty of space. Food was reasonable but not exceptional and the whole hotel felt a bit run of the mill to me, so I suppose the expense is because of its location. Would only come again if someone else was footing the bill!
