am sorry, the plates are not dirty at all. you were not allowed to use same plate for refill, thats understandable for health&safety issues and its part of being clean for food hygiene. its a buffet, which is self service and people did help out

Fantastic place with a great atmosphere and amazing food. My friends and I had a great time.
it is nice and clean and arranged nicely with the table and seats divided along the middle entry isle. It serves delicious and fresh cuisines at affordable prices.
We have been to alot of the well known highley rated Indian resturants in Birmingham and London and i have to say the food at Shahi Masala Was Great!.

This is one of the best buffet restaurants in Birmingham ive been to by far...
its clean and tidy, the food is absolutely brilliant hot food keeps coming out the kitchen, loved the chinese stir fry (choose the soy sauce flavour!). the waiters were kind and kept our table clean of used cutlery. only downside was we had to wait for a table as they were very busy (should have booked), would recommend it everyone, and remember to book your table before you go. :-D

ive been to this place twice, once in the afternoon and once in the evening. I went to the evening to see if it was any better.
The outside of the restaurant is kept clean, nice parking space also.
Each time ive gone ive had poor service. No greeting when you arrive. Its wasnt even busy. just a quick seat down.
The two waiters were grumpy and again the waiter who took our drinks did not speak or understand english well.
Anyways the food was okay the salad bar had a nice selection and displayed neatly.
As for the starters hardly any variety, chips, wedges, bbq wings and chicken tikka.that was it for starters.
You cant class chips or wedges as starters there more like sundries.
anyways the mains were good, in terms of indian. but no chinese food. only live cooking station. the pizza was terrible looked like frozen pizza to be honest.
the desserts was much better with choice two gateux, ice cream fruit salad and the assortments of indian sweets.
this place is similar to the review i put for lazzat buffet, why do they say they do chinese food when theres hardly any selection, the italian food was none of i feel i was ripped off, i think it was 12.95 p/head for just eating indian food.
Now dont get me wrong if you say you do chinese/italian there should be a nice mix of all the cuisine.
if they just did indian food with a larger selection i would be happy to pay that price but if you say you do something and theres no balance then you feel cheated.
In conclusion there are may improvement they can make, but there are better restaurants out there doing a similar thing.

Excellent Place....tons of variety available. Went out with friends as a night out and we heard about this place, so we decided to visit. we were not disappointed, they had sheesh kebabs, chicken calzones, live chinese cooking, ice cream machine all unlimited...
definitely worth visiting, will recommend to anyone.

We went on Saturday and thought this would be a good day as they would have the most variety of dishes . We thought wrong .
There were more of the indian dishes by far and although they looked OK , the majority of items lacked flavour although they had pepper heat.
The italian dishes amounted 5 and the beef lasagne was the only beef dish in the whole restaurant .
The chinese dishes were not great in range or type - the stir fry ingrediants looked limp and again not great quality .
The desserts were ok not great .
To be honest I was expecting not great quality food and I got it .........

Yesterday I had an honour to have my wedding anniversary treat in Shahi Masala Buffet Restaurant.. and wow what an impression it had on me... beautiful environment. a bit noisy at first but very neat and clean place to have food. and choice of food is just awesome. The quality of service is outstanding. The price is very very reasonable as well considering the range of food choices they have.
I am well impressed with this place. I have never experienced such a great food experience in Birmingham before.
Very Very good place to take friends and family for a dinner night and impress them.
Very decent staff who will make you feel special.
I will definitely recommend this place to all and everyone.

This place is great! it is an Indian, Italian and Chinese Buffet restaurant. It is very large and spacious inside not suprising as it is a converted pub.
It is a self service buffet so as soon as you walk in just help yourself to the meals on display. There are many tables and chairs so you can take the whole family for a party, or go out with your freinds or eat on your own if you must.
For starters there are sheesh kebabs in small sizes, chicken wings in lovely thick bbq sauce, fries, samosas, pakoras and many many more!
The restauarant offers two meal offers which are day time ones being at £5 and the evening ones being at £10. With the day time offer the Italian and Chinese are excluded from the menu.
The Italian meals are pizzas which are just mozarella cheese and tomato ones and they come in small sizes. There are also speghatti bolognese there.
The Chinese are made fresh right before your eyes you tell the chef what you would like to go with the noodles like prawns.
With the Indian meals there’s a variety of currys there in lift open balties like lamb meat, chicken meat and vegetarians. And you can have these dishes with either naan breads which are cut into quarters or have them with a variety of rices (egg fried, brown etc)
The staff are well dressed and can be helpful though on my second visit there i had to wait very long for a bottle of water which i had to remind the staff to get me it.
Toilets are also nice and clean.
