The hotel is in an ideal position to enjoy the city with bars and shops all around. I was pleasantly surprised. Nice entrance, clean and modern. Really helpful staff, great room and no issues at all. We would return here.

The place is very well located, just off piccadilly circus, really convenient. But the rooms are really ruined, showers really dirty ... It really doesn't make you want to come back. Only the location is worth paying for it. In addition it is noisy at night so not easy to sleep.

It location is convenience and the price cheap, around 20£. The bedroom is correct. However, The bathroom lakes of privacy and not very clean. Moreover, I couldn t get water from 11pm.
It s a good location just for 1 or 2 nigths.

Totally digusting.Have back-packed through Thailand last year, Ireland and Scotland. This was the worst.Soggy brown beds, showers with no privacy. The worst is all I can say.Had a look, asked for a refund and after showing the small print on our booking, eventually got one nights refund on our two night booking.Would prefer to sleep in a cardboard box if had to than lay down in that bed.

Review of Piccadilly Backpackers Hotel from 18 February 2009

This was a great loacation! On the doorstep of Soho, a tube station 1 minutes walk away, loads of evening entertainment and food places. A few good pubs very close to it, though there were a load of drunken kids there when we went to one. The rooms were interestingly decorated, some intentional, some done with splats of paint and very graphic graffiti added to some rooms! The staff seemed to be a bit rude on occasion, in both senses of the word, but this doesnt apply to all of the staff there. There was one occurance there where the member of staff on reception threatened our team leader because some of our party kept being moved rooms in the middle of the night and one lady was left with nowhere to stay. The team leader was trying to sort it out and it wasnt handled very well.

Over all, you get what you pay for. Dont expect a smile over breakfast, but there are plenty of places around to get breakfasts or lunches. The bed was not comfy at all but it was very cheap and was a great location, right in the centre, so its worth it generally for that.

I only stayed one night here with my friends, but it was a pretty good hostel. One of the most central hostels in London! The location is brilliant, just around the corner from Piccadilly circus and soho and china town. The tube station is just at the end of the road. I think it cost us less than £20 per night each which is good for a hostel so central. The rooms were all clean and so were the bathrooms.

Cheap and safe to stay in. As long as you don’t mind having to repeat yourself to non english speaking staff then you will be fine here.
