Modern and Hip little place. Delicious burgers at a fair price. Friendly servers. Free water carafes and peanuts. Would rate it 5 stars but the corn we ordered was charred black on one side and pretty dry.
But otherwise great - the Frenchie burger was a delight!

Everything at GBK was absolutely satisfactory - the staff were pleasant, the cheese & bacon burger did all the things you'd expect a cheese & bacon burger to do, and at £9, the price was definitely surmountable. Nothing about the experience really stood out, though, and despite the wide selection, presentation and general attention to detail, our evening at the Gourmet Burger Kitchen was lacking a certain je ne sais quio. On the other hand, maybe that's needlessly negative - because there was certainly nothing wrong with food, service, or decor. I guess it's just that when you're as spoiled for choice as you are in London, any restaurant that doesn't make you long to go back will get left in the lurch.

Fresh and quality hamburgers with nice fries homemade.
A nice restaurant however a bit cold in winter, really should turn on the central heat. However, a very pleasant moment spent in this restaurant. the waiters are very nice also.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen has ok burgers. The burgers are quite average tasting. They look good and they are huge and made to look good but they are not as good as I would expect from a reastaurant named GOURMET BURGER Kitchen. The meals are around £7 for a burger which is pretty good. The staff are always very helpful and friendly to make a really great experience.

Quality burgers at a quality price. GBK offers some of the best burgers around and they’re massive, usually too big to pick up. The service is always good, order & pay directly at the till. GBK is all about the burgers, I rarely bother with chips. I would recommend the Kiwi or Mexican burgers.
Look out for the printable online 2for1 vouchers often available on weekdays

Looking for a burger the size of a small child? Then Gourmet Burger Kitchen is the place to go. I originally hail from the US, a land known for its overindulgence and I was soundly defeated by the burger I had here. What's great about GBK is the variety of fixin's available for your burger. The standard lettuce, onions, pickles, etc but every different type of cheese, mushrooms, sauces, etc. They do good work here and the fries were top notch.

I had heard a lot of good things about this chain of quality burger places so I had to try it for myself.
I have to say I am a bit mixed about the whole thing. The decor of the restaurant is fine - simple but modern. Service was good. Burgers looked very impressive....
But they just did not taste that special. The meat was a bit chewy; they dont ask you how you want it cooked - which I would have thought is a must for a quality burger.
Chips were fine but nothing to rave home about.
It was ok. But no WOW factor.

Andrew Hunter, 30 August 2007: I agree. There are better burgers to be had in London. That being said, the GBK egg and bacon burger is an amazing hangover cure.
