Everything was absolutely delicious, particularly the fresh pasta and the portions by Edinburgh standards were absolutely huge. We were nearly stuffed after just our starter.
Also have to mention that Vittoria is really child friendly which is incredibly important to us as we have a 4 month old daughter. The staff made a real fuss over her which she clearly loved and when we left one of the waiters helped us carry our pram down two steps within the restaurant. For this alone Vittoria's deserves 5 stars.
Total price for a starter (for sharing), 2 mains, 2 cokes and a beer, £44. Not bad!
Can't recommend enough, perhaps my new favourite restaurant in Edinburgh.

Dining by myself I was rather surprised to get rather a nice table round the back here. The section I was in did seem to have some ordering problems though, with a few misdeliveries occurring while I was there.
My food was good. The garlic bread was a bit…different, but not in a bad way. Drinks were overpriced though – a fiver for a pint of Birra Moretti!

Great food & service. Coffee is probably not top notch, but will not mark down on that basis, as anything less than 5 stars is for some reason seen as second rate. This is why I do not leave reviews much, as it is unfair on the one supplying the service.

Great, hard-working, family Italian far from the maddening crowds of Edinburg’s city centre in a scruffy part of Leith. The minestrone alone is worth a trip! Yum, yum, yum!

Great family restaurant in a vibrant part of the city. Particularly like the Carbonara meal. Love the Italian history is still kept within the restaurant, and all the old photos kept up too. When sunny, the restaurant really livens up as you can also go outside. A great place to go!

We went to Vittoria on a week night and had booked an early table so wasn't expecting it to be very busy but there were still quite a few diners. I has read reviews complaining about the service but must say we didn't have any propblems. The food was great and served without a long delay after we ordered. I had the antipasto misto for starters and lasagna verde (yum) and my girlfriend had filetto balsamico. The staff were very friendly and the food extremely tasty. Will definitely go back

Liked the place. Liked the food. Seating was not always prompt but was ok each time we visit. Reservations a must as the place fills up quite fast. All ice cream deserts are highly recommended!

Lovely restaurant, open from breakfast time til nighttime with a wonderful and varied menu. The prices are very reasonable with a burger on the breakfast menu starting at just under £3. There is a good range of coffees and the latte I had was delicious. The service was quick and the food was very tasty. The toilets were very clean and smelled yummily of flowers. I'll definitely be going there again!

It's no mystery why this restaurant is so popular - good food with huge portions and a very friendly staff make this a relaxed place for couples and groups to enjoy an evening out. During the summer, tables outside allow you to watch the world go by as you sip on your peroni.

Vittoria is an Edinburgh institution and one of the best Italians in the city. The food is delicious and reasonably priced with a wide selection of pizza, pasta and meat dishes,. The staff are extremely friendly and the service is some of the best I have encountered (for example, we once had to wait an extra 5 minutes for our main course due a mistake by the waitress. Even though we didn’t mind and were happy to wait, we were given that dish for free and received an apology from the owner!). There are dishes to suit everyone and they even offer 'half pizza, half pasta’ options if there are two of you. Great if you can’t decide! Th restaurant also caters for children and is perfect for a family birthday lunch. Located near the top of Leith Walk, it’s a great option for a meal before the cinema at the Omni or a show at the Playhouse. It’s certainly better priced and better quality than most of the cluster of restaurants around the Playhouse and in the Omni centre.

The original Vittoria restaurant (they have another on George IV Bridge in Edinburgh), family friendly and great service. The food’s good too, lots of lovely pasta dishes. Generous portions.
Seems quite tight for space, but like it’s sister premises on the bridge, you’ll be surprised how big it is downstairs!

Great food & service. Brilliant for a casual meal. Very big menu, so it takes a while to decide and I always end up ordering too much. They’re good with wrapping up your leftovers, so it must be a common thing.
I love the fact that there is always plenty of toast with the pate!!!
The coffee is slightly dissapointing, but over all a brilliant place.

Staff are very attentive and the menu just goes on and on. Lots of choice for everyone, including vegetarians. The pizzas are HUGE and delicious. For ice cream lovers, you’ll be pleased to know that the dessert card has an endless list of different flavours. I can’t really fault this restaurant; except for its location. It’s a bit out of the way for me. But that doesn’t stop me from coming back. It’s the best ‘value for money’ Italian in town.

Pasta or Pizza that's maybe to most difficult question when you go to an Italian restaurant like this. In Vittoria, you can get both, a half portion of pasta and a small pizza!
The restaurant is nice but caters for a lot of diners. Nevertheless you don't have to wait long for your food. When it does come, the presentation can leave a lot to be desired, the above pizzapasta comes crammed together on one plate for example.
Vittoria does the simple things well but if you are looking for a bit more culinery, it might be an idea to try another restaurant like La Concha.

This restaurant is one of my favourites in Edinburgh. Thay have a lovely large restaurant in leith and have been there for many years.
The staff are very friendly and the italian food is to die for. Well cooked with a large selection. They have Disabled Facilities and an excellent Children’s Menu. With Al fresco dining and Intimate tables available for any special occasion.
The Restaurant is fully air conditioned and they have a party room for party bookings which is fully licensed with its own bar and entrance. And can seat up to 50 guests.
A beautiful and modern restuarant with the italian family atmosphere.

This is a lovely restaurant that no matter when you go it's always busy. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the food is fantastic, especially the pizza and fish dishes, although beware of the mussels they can be a tad on the salty side.
It's the perfect place to go with your partner, friend or the whole family for a nice lunch or dinner. However the staff are always welcoming, even if you just want to pop in for a coffee and some cake.
Price wise the food is good value.
