Being in Blundeston is like living in the country although one is only 5 miles from Gt Yarmouth and
3 miles from Lowestoft.

We have two public house the Blundeston Plough which at the moment is closed for renovation, and has the historic link of being the place where Charles Dickens started to write David Copperfield. When the Plough is operating they serve wonderful food in their dining area. Also on a Wednesday they hold a pub quiz night which is very popular indeed.

The other drinking establishment is called the Red Lion a nice place where one can sit outside and watch the world go by.

The one main road has the feel of a country village with its oldy world cottages with lupins growing on the pavement.

Come night time there are no lights off the main street, its black...but there are lots of bats flying around. And in the day its so peaceful just to sit in ones garden without the sound of traffic buzzing by, all that can be heard is the sound of doves cooing and the birds. Idylic.

Just on the verge of the village there is Blundeston prison which houses prisoners from all over the UK.

Why not book a table at this wonderful old place the food is just wonderful, but be warned BOOK early as it gets quite busy at the weekends...
