Had a great saturday all-day session here a couple of weeks ago and loved every minute.
Delicious food + Good views + Cool jazz = Great times!
The location is an issue, not the easiest to reach on public transport but perhaps with the powerstation redevelopment this may be improved…

An oasis in the South London Wasteland, this is a cosy pub which is worth the trek.
Just enough space inside and with more decked space out back.
Puts on live Jazz at the weekend which is always good news when you want to escape the YP dens of Clapham high street.
I was disappointed that they stopped serving food after 6 though.
Intrigued to see what happens to this place when they develop the Power station…

Very stylish boozer with a phenomenal view of Battersea power station. Live jazz at the weekend is definitely worth popping down for and the roast lunches are fantastic. They have a great little outdoor area too which is perfect when the sun shines.
Misses out on 5 stars because there was no real ale on tap and it’s kind of a pain to get to if you are taking public transport. Still, i will DEFINITELY be going back.

Oh my goodness I want to move to Battersea this place is so amazing. Really. I adore it here. So much that I ate here three Sunday’s out of four in February apparently. Granted I didn’t have to move far after drunkenly falling alseep on my firneds sofa down the road, but it’s still quite extreme. I’ve never been here without a hangover though, so I can’t comment on their beer.
That doesn’t matter though. Not when they do roasts so well. Pigs in Blankets! Pigs in Blankets I TELL YOU! And occasionaly, for no apparent reason, two types of stuffing (cranberry and chestnut we think the other one was). Both yummy. Oh, and the clincher? You get Yorkshire puddings even if you order the FREE RANGE chicken. That doesn’t happen very often. They’re in real gravy too.
Anything else? Well, I happen to love the view of the power station. It’s strange, but actually quite amazing though I can’t work out why. I also like the roof terrace and the garden out back is beautiful.
This is the kind of pub that could be in Good Housekeeping maagzine. It’s got very funky bric-a-brac everywhere and it works. I come out of here wanting to embroider cushions. Thankfully I never do.
Oh, and when you throw some great staff, who make you feel important no matter how packed it is (and if you don’t wake up before 2 it’s rammed) and some pretty good jazz, it makes for a great pub. You can also read the Sunday papers or, if you feel like it you can watch football or play operation or scrabble.
With so much fun here, why would you want to stay on the sofa?
One of the best pubs in London. It’s my find of the year.
