hotel in a good location, but it just cant make up for the fact that the rooms at the front are noisy, and the walls paper thin.
I cant quite find it in myself to rave about this hotel like my colleagues.
It is true that you can get a good rate, the decor is cool and the staff is very friendly. And that this alone, for the centre of Paris, should recommend it strongly.
However, no amount of friendly chat compensated me for the 1.5 hours I waited for the expensive cheese sandwich I ordered from room service (don’t I live the glamorous life?)! Coolness is one thing, but the basics of business travel also need to be catered for.
Maybe this was a one off, and given the hotel’s other attractions and proximity to my office, I may well come back and see.
If you paid the full list price (€450/night!) for this hotel, you’d feel a tad ripped off. However, at the discounted €120 rate, it’s a great spot. I can’t heap anything but praise on the establishment, particularly because of the fantastic decor and minimalist, but not overly so, furniture. I really felt like I could take some tips for my own place, which to be honest you can rarely say about a hotel…
If you can get room 503, it’s got a huge bed, and a great balcony!
A very nice little hotel in the 8’eme of Paris. I was amazed how affordable this place is. Ordinarily in this part of town you are looking at 3-400 Euros per night for a 4 star hotel but the saver rate at the “123” was 120 p/n! Bargain!
The rooms were very spacious and i managed to wangle myself a room with a four poster bed and balcony! The communal parts of the hotel were also very nice (great little bar, but pricey drinks which was expected).
Staff were very helpful and friendly and were perfectly happy to banter about the champions league and the french open. My kind of people.
If you’re looking for an affordable, comfortable and centrally located hotel near the Champs Elysees - this is the place to stay.
