Tans & Hands

I chose this salon especially because of their 2 hour Sienna X tan, as I am on holiday and need a quick wash off period. I am incredibly disappointed with the outcome. While the colour has developed nicely, my hands and feet are so bad that I'm going to have to wear gloves and fully covered shoes until this mess clears up. The problem at this salon is that they get you to apply the pre tan cream on your hands and feet yourself. I am not a professional! This is the first time ever in all my years of spray tans that I, the customer, has had to do this. The result? Gross, brown, blotchy, ORANGE (because they sprayed far too close) hands and feet. Utterly annoyed and upset.

The price is really reasonable. I’ve shopped around and this price for what you get is good in the area. That’s the best thing about the place. I’ve had:
Leg Wax – very good and the hairs stayed away for longer that normal, which was great.
Bikinini Wax – the girl doesn’t quite do all the knicker line, I have to point out that there’s still hair so not as sold on this one
Massage – nice room with relaxing music etc. Soft massage which was what I wanted. If you want a harder massage you may have to ask.
Overall, worth a shout but there may be better if you’re willing to pay through the nose.

Very dissapointed. Had an awful tan and very average manicure. Wondered how they had so many good reviews? Then realised most of them were left on the same day or very close to one another! Strange! Would not recommend! :(

I’ve been coming here for the last 3 years, wouldn’t trust anyone else for my tan or nails. The tans are a lovely natural colour and fade really evenly. I used to be a terrible nail biter, but I’ve been having the shellac on my nails for the last 10 months and what a transformation! I actually have fingers like a lady now! Recommended A**

Love, love, love this place! It has such a chilled out atmosphere - you can't beat it! The reviews on Qype were one of the reasons I chose this particular salon, so thought I'd better put my review forward now I have been, which will hopefully help others! I went in at the end of August for a Minx Pedicure - if Minx is good enough for the likes of Beyonce & Lady Gaga, it's good enough for me ;o) and I'm thrilled with it!!! 8 weeks later and the Minx is still on, as good as the day it was applied (albeit with a bit of a growth gap now!!) it's lasted a holiday in Egypt as well as being squashed into every sort of shoe imaginable in the last few weeks, I'm so impressed, and the lady was so patient with me whilst I ummmed and ahhhed over all the different designs! I'm booked in next week to have them redone with one of the new Xmas designs - can't wait!!! My advice QYPE users? Look no further, you've found your salon!!

I had THE best manicure at the Tans & Hands Nail Bar. I didn't have an appointment but they managed to squeeze me in before I had to leave Cardiff for the weekend, which was very nice of them.

The nail bar has all sorts of coloured polishes avaliable both to use for your manicure / pedicure and for purchase.

The weekends and evenings (they are open until 7pm!!) are usually pretty booked up and so I'd recommend reserving your slot a couple of days on advance. Closed on Sundays, the rest of the week is pretty easy for walk-ins (during the day, that is).

I have now become a regular and have never had a bad experience here (either with the staff or the owner, who is such a darling!) and would highly suggest this place to anyone in need of a nail salon.

I have had 12 treatment sessions at the salon. I have really enjoyed the experience every time. The therapist always talks through the treatment with me, so I am fully aware of what is involved. She is happy to answer any questions that I have, and makes me feel at ease with everything.It is a warm and friendly place, I have recommended Tans & Hands to other family members and friends. I look forward to booking with them again very soon.

I visit the salon on a regular basis, and I have had some fantastic results from the Collagen Facial to an Eyelash Perm. The staff always make you feel welcome and look after you from the moment you arrive. Highly recommended!!!

You will be amazed at the results from facials, to waxing and nail extensions. It’s also easy to park; much better than travelling into the city centre.

I had a spray tan in this salon and the girl who did my tan was very helpful and made me feel at ease, she was very friendly and looked after me well, will be going back very soon. My spray tan lasted about 2 weeks!! And the colour was so natural. If you want a good natural looking spray tan, go to Tans and Hands

I have been well received at Tans & Hands, they are lovely, kind. I don’t think there is any unisex salon like it. Special mention to Kate (owner), she knows how to treat her clients.

I decided to treat myself on Saturday, a friend told me the people at Tans & Hands were lovely…well she was right , they are good, nice, the salon style is great…I felt that I was spending my money at the right place!!!! Great pedicures and waxing …they even do male waxing, feel like booking my boyfriend for a back sac & crack!

Great Place. Lovely bunch of girls. Really stylish yet relaxed surroundings (courtesy of the tropical fish tank!) I’ve been going to the salon every 2 weeks since opening and every treatment has always been carried out to such a high standard. Great value for money and great incentives offered for regular customers. Can’t recommend this place highly enough!!
