City Art Gallery and Museum

Not really into art myself but I really enjoyed the museum and art gallery, it’s easy to miss as it’s upstairs after the library on the ground floor. The building architecture is interesting (not sure which era it’s from!) and it’s cited next to the equally impressive court building. The staff are very helpful here and are willing to explain some of the items to those who aren’t so artful (moi!). Would recommend.

I really enjoyed looking around the museum and art gallery. It was a school trip and we all found it really interesting. They have a lovely little giftshop aswell, where I got some little presents for my family. There were some breathtaking pieces of art, and i would recommend anyone have a look.

Nice Building with lots to look at.

The Gallery was very well laid out, with lots of interesting pictures in a wide variety of formats and textures.

The musuem was interesting to, with artfacts from the Worcester area.

Building entrance is very impressive with a large stair case, leading up to a coffee shop and the gallery and musuem. The library is round the back.

There is also a gift shop selling postcards and other stuff.

You have to look quite hard to find this lovely gallery and museum as it is tucked away in the same lovely, old Victorian building that houses the library. Go upstairs and if you manage to get past the delicious smells from the award winning Balcony Cafe you'll find Worcester's hidden gem. It's free to get in and it's light and spacious galleries really set the art of in it's best light. There's also a permanent exhibition of intriguing objects, including a Worcester Sauce machine - a must see if you're visiting Worcester.
