The ground itself is amazing. Great atmosphere. Large crowds expected every match. Pre-match bustle in the streets.
Definitely recommended to primarily watch a match at, or tour around or just walk around.

One of the great stadiums in the UK, Old Trafford is def worth a visit even if you're not a red. Unfortunately the ground has been americanised, with Bud's an hotdogs available throughout. Not as good (or friendly) as Eastlands..

As a Manchester united fan (from Manchester....shock horror) I'm very proud of the theatre of dreams. I'm old enough to remember the stands, and it being fill to capacity of mainly local reds.

As a football ground it has improved over the years but still has a way to go to match some other European stadiums in its facilities, staff and prices.

Breathtaking on a Champions league night of any significance. electric on premier league match days with a carnival atmosphere and the expected jibes and banter between home and away supporters.
Real heritage, great views and regardless of the club you support (or even if you are a chronic neutral) a visit to this majestic venue is an experience you wont soon forget.

Despite the fact that the map to the right of this profile features a pin directly into the now defunct Maine Road stadium, where United's arch rivals City used to play, this is all about Old Trafford.
Now, not being a Man United fan, I can't fill this page with dewy eyed nostalgia about the pantheon of players that have graced the hallowed turf of the supposed Theatre of Dreams.
However, I can review the whole thing as someone who has been there on over 40 occasions.
For the Man United fan, the first visit will be a dream come true. It's a gigantic space and impressive when filled to the rafters.
Even for the fan who may not have been for over 20 years (or more), it'd be well worth a visit because it has changed so much.
That said, for anyone who isn't a United fan, the whole experience can't help but be massively underwhelming.
On most occasions, it's deathly quiet thanks to the hoards of tourists buying up tickets in favour of the admittedly impressively vocal Man United away fans.
Sometimes, the ground is so quiet that it's eerie. 60,000+ people muttering in unison is terrifying. The food, like most football grounds, leaves much to be desired (that said, the football pie is something I frequently desire) and access to the stadium is easy enough.
Just don't get your hopes up.

The Theatre of Dreams; Englands largest Club stadium; home to Manchester United, the worlds greatest football team! Yes, I am a United fan. Have been many many times to see my team play. For such a huge stadium the fans are very close to the pitch and during big games the atmosphere is electric. The wall of sound when Utd score is deafening and the banter with fellow fans is always good fun! For those not attending a game there is a very impressive and comprehensive stadium tour which will bring you through the dressing rooms and even down the tunnel to the sound of screaming fans!! Around the ground there is not a lot to do and I would advise getting there early as the trains get packed! If you wait near the staff car-park after the game you can catch a glimpse of the stars and they usually stay for about 15 mins signing autographs.

amazing is the only word for it. it really is the stadium of dreams. although I have only been once, and that was many years ago, I still remember it to this day and I will remember it for ever. The atmosphere is just totally electric and you feel like you are part of something amazing.
