Topographically stunning park with equally wow-inspiring views of Sacre Coeur and the Paris skyline, Buttes Chaumont is a picnic-rific spot (that is if you can find a level patch of grass to sit) for a sunny and lazy afternoon of people watching, cloud pondering and gloriously little more. I wish it were still Saturday afternoon and I were still there now.
Buttes Chaumont is an excellent park. Paris has several parks and gardens but I think that this is my favourite one. It’s a little bit further away from the centre than others but is definitely worth the metro trip. Firstly it is huge, once your there you don’t feel like you are in the city any more. There is a lake and the park is quite hilly, which makes a change. This park is very family friendly, it’s perfect for picnics, walks and sunbathing. I prefer it to other parks it is a little different and from the hill there is a look out tower to view the city.

Amazing park, despite being partly man made, it puts our parks in London to shame! The waterfall, lake and caves are very picturesque and while I was there, I saw many people taking their wedding photos by the lake.
Definitely recommended if you visit Paris!

A magnificent park for sunbathing on the hilly slopes, counting daisy petals, pick-nicking, walking, with a small running stream below, somewhere that is peaceful and calm… Just to note, it is very difficult to access for those with mobility problems.

It goes up and down, we can take a ride in a carriage, sunbathe, picnic, play football. Buttes Chaumont is really a park not to miss. It gives you the chance to try the line 7 bis, but take care when you leave the station, the stairs are long, very long. A little extra: the waterfall has created a very refreshing cavern in case it’s very hot.

One of my favorite parks in Paris -- it’s a strange and strangely agreeable mix of nature and man made artifice -- fake waterfalls and cement 'caves.’
The area had originally used as gallows where criminals where executed before before being transformed into it’s current beautiful site by Baron Haussmann and Adolphe Alphand in 1867.
