This is a great pub with it’s own beers, the best of which is called pint. The bar staff are always friendly and helpful. The current manager is called Warren and is very efficient and extremely friendly.

The whole beauty of the Marble is its size, its location and the great beers on offer. Not as trendy as its big brothers, but, again, that's part of the appeal for the beer lovers who go there. Great for pre-and post match drinks, top kebabs next door (they make the bread on the premises and are only 3 quid!) and a haunt for a surprising amount of away fans!! Reputation goes a long way!. Its does fill up quickly-so set off earlier...problem solved!

I recently spent the night drinking Ginger Marble beer and playing Connect 4 in here – it was loads of fun! It’s not a huge place, but you still get lots of people squeezing in to soak up the atmosphere and sink a few of Marble’s legendary beers. Ginger Marble is my favourite brew by far, although they have loads of other great flavours to try too, including Chocolate Stout and “Pint”.
Unlike many bars in Chorlton, the Marble Beer House is an unfussy place with friendly bar staff, a great atmosphere and no pretensions! I guess the booze speaks for itself, though, because it is nearly always packed out with a beer lovin’ clientele that ranges from students to locals. You’ll struggle to get a seat or even a scrap of drinking space, especially at the weekend. But believe me; it’s well worth paying a visit anyway!

The Marble is one of the few pubs that has really, really seen the benefit of the smoking ban. Even as a smoker, a crowded Marble was one of the most painful places to drink. Small, crowded and nothing to shift the thick plumes. In winter, when you can't really be opening windows, it's a nightmare.
That said, that's all in the past and the smoke has vanished in favour of that new pub staple - namely urinal cakes, BO and stout flatulence.
As the beer in the Marble is the star attraction, there's little to say about the rest of the place. It's very woody and Chorltony, but not in a bad way. It's a good enough place to get a drink.
However, finding a seat can be near impossible and that can be a pain as it's the type of place you'd like to get your ass-groove going and idle like a champ.
Basically, this is a great pub that suffers from being too small and too popular.

Simple, unfussy, and serving damn fine beer, the Marble Beer House may be one of the smallest bars in Chorlton, but this doesn't stop it being rammed to capacity almost every night of the week. And on Saturday nights it's practically a no-go area unless you're a fan of attempting to order a pint whilst your face is rammed in someone's armpit.
However, whilst the Marble Beer House may be small, it's certainly perfectly formed, and prides itself on serving up some of the finest ales in South Manchester. It also does a rather mind bending scrumpy which certainly isn't for the faint hearted. Plus, if you're feeling peckish, they also serve a wide range of vegetarian and vegan bar snacks, helpfully provided by the Unicorn Grocery located across the road.
Even better, if you're looking to just sit and idle the day away over a pint of Ginger Ale, there's always copies of the major broadsheets floating around, as well as a bookcase filled with novels galore.
All in all, this is a superb little ale house - atmospheric, friendly, inexpensive and arguably one of the best drinking dens that Chorlton has to offer.

A nice little bar in chorlton with a great range of Marble’s local Ales. It’s just a shame it isn’t a little bit bigger; even on a quiet night, it fills up pretty quickly.

Can you sit down in the Marble Beer House? I did once, I think. It’s got the layout of a tiny cafe, and yet is an ale lover’s paradise, as they have a load of decent ales in at all times. I think it’s all from the Marble brewery, so established brands they are not. Which adds to the appeal. There’s also some decent crisps and nuts. Cozy!

Squeezed between two shops on Manchester Road, there’s absolutely nothing fussy about the Marble Beer House. It’s simplicity is it’s biggest asset, with its plain walls and bare wooden furniture, and it’s just a great place to have a few quiet pints with your mates.
The prices are among the best in Chorlton, with a fine selection of Marble’s own beers and frequently-changed guests on tap (they currently also have a jug of real scrumpy in the fridge too). Vegetarian bar snacks are provided by the Unicorn Grocery which lies opposite.
It’s certainly popular too, you’ll be lucky to find a table in there at any time of the day.
You can also buy Marble Beer t-shirts in case you want to look like one of the bar staff…

Marble Beer House is the second home of Marble Beers, the first being the Marble Arch pub in Ancoats where the microbrewery is based. And yes they do make Marble Ginger, I’ve not tried it yet but did have a very good pint of IPA at the weekend.

marble ginger is amazing!
A decent choice, deep in the suburban jungle. For a seemingly converted shop, this has plenty of character and the Marble ales are top notch - if a little on the toppy side re: price. Not sure if it’s worth a trek out from the city centre, mind.

Was my local for my first 2 years in Chorlton and enjoyed every minute of it (and a lot were spent there!) Although I don’t drink real ale it does not matter, I still enjoy the relaxed local atmosphere. Friendly bar staff and friendly locals as every bar outside of a city centre should be. Just a shame there’s no open fire for winter nights.

I remember being stop searched on entrance to the Marble Beer House in Chorlton. They were checking for razors. Surprised, I asked the management what on earth I’d be doing tooled up with such blades? They were worried I might such an implement might have ended up in the wrong hands and the fine collection of beards sat drinking ‘free range’ beer might be end up bald as coots. Fortunately I wasn’t carrying that day and with a month long growth of facial haberdashery on my person I was welcomed in with open, hirsute arms.
Despite the sandals and fuzz going on, Marble is right good old boozer. Their beers are brewed in the Marble Brewery in Manchester and are an organic and vegan delight. Of course a minor downside is the fact that you’ll find a pilgrimage of vegans drinking in here…little else for them to go I guess.
Alongside their own brews they stock a mighty fine range of guest beers, many Belgian numbers which after several will leave your feet wishing ‘Surprise, Surprise with Cilla Black’ is still on the telly.
Odd seating (reclaimed I’m told) and a supply of broadsheets should you pop in for a pint on your own.
Outstanding gin palace if there ever was one.

Although almost impossible to find a seat at any time, this cosy little pub offers amazing beer and reasonable prices. The selection changes regularly. The furniture is quite interesting and of course, it being in chorlton, so are the punters generally. They don't accept big notes... perhaps not even cards... i can't remember. There's nothing fancy at all. This is simply a place to come for some nice beer.
