5 reviews of Sweet Sensations Kiosk in English
This place is a real saviour for everyone at Qype and Pete (the guy who runs the stall) is an absolute hero! It’s been closed for the last couple of weeks so i’ve had to walk accross the street for my can of sprite, I just hope he comes back soon or I might get hit by a car.
It’s just so much more than a kiosk. There’s daily bizarre note stuck on the sweet-filled counter going on about the price of cigarettes going up/specials on chocolates and even tellings offs like 'If money has been in your mouth I will not accept it.’ Who would? :)
Pete’s got a big spread of treats to push you through the afternoon slump, and always has time to tell you his latest jokes. They’re normally not terribly good, but I like how he tries. If you’re a regular he’ll also give you a bit of a discount so give it a whirl if you work nearby.
This place keeps our office in diet coke, chocolate bars, crisps and all the essentials.
Pete is a proper London character and is already ready to impart some wisdom on you if you’re not in a rush :)
Pete is a legend. Chatty, helpful and quite sill. Also great for a bit of gossip, this is the place of choice to get a sneaky snack and a cold drink, and you know you’re supporting a family man worth donating to.
I love sweet sensations. My constant supply of cigarettes, diet coke, twix bars and friendly batter. Pete’s a great guy and always up for a bit of chat in between giving directions to stray tourists.
If you’re struggling to sleep and you’ve got a bit of time, ask him about the price of Coca Cola over the last 10 years. You’ll be nodding off in no time.
