I LOVE HEADMASTERS

After a recommendation from a friend (who also happens to be a beauty/fashion journalist), I ventured over to Headmasters with trepidation to say the least. I normally try and avoid hair salon chains -- and the lacklustre service you get for the huge amount of money you fork out -- but I've been going back to Headmasters Clapham every month or two, for almost a year.

I always see Kym, who is extremely talented and nice. She helped me after a disastrous attempt at trying to go from black hair to my more natural dark blond, which another salon (cough GMs of East Dulwich, cough) failed at dismally.

The salon itself is clean, and located conveniently close to Clapham South tube station.

My friend had visited this salon and her hair looked perfectly fine so I though i would give it a go. I visited the salon once for a consultation for a cut and colour, and somehow the lady i spoke to manage to talk me out of all the services all together.
I'm not a sucker for a sales pitch - it completly turns me off. I stop listening, i come to the hairdressers to relax not be hassled.

Anyway that being said i tried this salon again on one of the late bookings for £20. The hairdresser was pleasant enough, and to my liking didn't try and sell me anything.

You can expect a decent cut, and i would definitely return. If you can get a last minute appointment it is great value for money.
