Old Fire Station Cafe Bar

Very nice surroundings and helpful pleasant staff. I only had a cup of tea here but it was without fault. This is a charity-run venue doing some good work with homeless people so good to know that the reasonable prices go to help. Unfortunately it was closed after gh the show at the adjoining theatre.

I like this place.
It is unpretentious and fun.
Not full of poseux.
But then I like any club that will let me in, as I am well past my 'use-by date'.
Only ever been there on a Friday night after a skinfull with mates.
The queue to get in is shorter than other places.
My son has banned me from entering if he is there though :-((

when i lived in oxford the fire station overlooked the bus station and the municipal canteen does any one rember it at the time the meals great

If your in Oxford either a student or staying with friends for a weekend you have to go visit the OFS. This bar/club is one of Oxford’s best kept secrets. On my experience i was entertained with cheesy pop 70’s 80’s fits right in with the surroundings and atmosphere. On a monday its Gay night which too can be fun and Tuesday cheap drinks for Student night. A must see club, you will be impressed

This is one of the best clubs in Oxford, even if it is not one of the best known. The 70s night on a Thursday is particularly good, and Fox FM holds party nights on some Fridays. A brilliant night out dancing and a good mix of clientele, not merely students and teenagers.

This is a fine bar, not more than fine as it is not that special.
The student nights are a great succes and not too expensive.
It´s not too big on the inside as it can get pretty crowded, usally combined with an intense heat and sweaty people.
Therefore I prefer to spend my night elsewhere, but ofcourse, I know lots who´d love the place.

Once been there when Jordan (aka Katie Price) came to visit, and made a group of guys strip in front of the audience. Lots of fun! Although, as you can understand, most of the crowd where guys..only having eye for Jordan, waiting for her to show off her bodyparts, instead of the naked guys on stage...

Not to be confused with the theatre, The Old Fire Station bar (OFS) is famous for it's Tueday student nights. The drinks are pretty cheap and it attract a good looking bunch of people. DJ's are hit and miss and the place isn't huge compared to the Bridge or Park End, but it's fun and has a god atmosphere.

Monday nights at OFS is 'Flirt', a gay night. So if you are not of that persuasion head over to one of the other student nights!
